I do not think some supporters realise that a rebuilding stage actually takes some time.

Especially when you're bouncing off the back of the most successful manager in the sports history. You cannot expect the results to continuously flow off from a new man in charge.

Mourinho is figuring out what needs to be done. This may even take an extra season or two but so be it. Ferguson didnt win the treble in his first 5 seasons either.

Patience is virtue & our supporters have become too spoilt from the past to realise that.

Other managers come in and manage to make changes much, much quicker with much less money and worse squads to start with.

A few examples, please.

Blame the players, the ones who perform perfectly well for other clubs until they come here, not the managers, the managers who get slated by players when they finally leave for their horrid tactics?

When will people wake up. Our manager is stiffling every player he has, he hasnt improved anybody, players are all getting worse under him, he's singling out players and it doesnt work, his tactics are boring, slow, and dont produce results, he has zero idea how to use this team as proven by his mess of team decisions and sub decisions, he cannot motivate his team at all.

If he needs to have another shit load of money just to have us perform in the top four, then he isnt as special as he used to be.

Thank you for your contribution and taking the time to read my lengthy post.

There are many clubs who buy their success and look where there are? Real Madrid, Juventus, Bayern. When last have we had a young player come up from the ranks and be equivalent to the likes of the class of 92? How many players have been sold that have come up the ranks as to be the next big talent? I'm sure we can all name a few.

We are in a new modern era of football where money is everything unfortunately. So many teams are buying because expectations get larger, teams get tougher and better and we need to be able to compete with that on a faster scale. We have owners who want us to be the glaticos of England so we lure all these sponsors to be the best by having the money to buy the best. You may not like that but you got to accept and move forward of how it's changing. Use all young talent in our squad and we will still complain when we finish 7th and it won't be long for when we will be calling to buy someone experienced.

If we were winning matches instead of drawing, I can sincerely say that nobody would be complaining that he is a cheque book manager. When Moyes took over people blamed SAF for not buying players and the squad was broken. Do we have time to develop young players through big matches and be patient with them if we lose to Liverpool, if we lose to Manchester city or Chelsea and still be happy we are playing the younger players? Still chilling at 7th? Mourinho has been playing the young players, the same players who were apparently were never gonna be played cause mou was coming in? But still, he is stifling them because of a certain system? Cmon, this is what we always do in this sub. We slate the manager first and question if the players are "united quality" later.

I come here not to downvote but for sensible discord my good sir. I'm going to give you my view on your statements:

When will people wake up. Our manager is stiffling every player he has

I don't believe this is the case. Our type of football is closer to the free-flowing game SAF used to play. Last night was grim. The players look tired. Pogba has played pretty much every game of the season and we've played A LOT of games compared to other teams. Fatigue is setting in exactly where it should considering it's now April and we're wrapping up next month.

he hasnt improved anybody, players are all getting worse under him

I disagree. Look at Rojo, look at Jones, look at Valencia. He's rejuvenated team members and instilled some much needed self belief - look at Fellaini, look at how the team were speaking about themselves before this recent blip.

he's singling out players and it doesnt work

I'm kinda with you on this one. I don't particularly agree with that approach.

his tactics are boring, slow, and dont produce results

Tactically I feel we're closer to SAF's United. We just aren't finishing up front. We have old man Zlatan, I love the guy but by Jove he misses a lot of chances. We're taking exciting chances again - shooting from outside the box was a rare occurrence under Louis Van Sideways.

he has zero idea how to use this team as proven by his mess of team decisions and sub decisions

Again, I sort of agree here. I'm not here to shoot down every opinion of yours. I feel he finds a team that works, then when it doesn't it appears like he still doesn't know his best XI. I don't know our best XI either for full disclosure. Our players are incredibly inconsistent, but as I mentioned before - fatigue plays a huge part in that, we didn't have a full summer to bed in and gel etc etc.

he cannot motivate his team at all.

I'm sorry but before the recent slump, I feel we got our arrogance back. A couple of good results and it'll come back again.

Fellaini? Been shit.

Rojo? been no better at Cb than he was before, we just play him at LB less.

Jones?... nothings changed.

Valencia is the only one who has remotely improved.

Fatigue is setting in exactly where it should considering it's now April and we're wrapping up next month.

We arent the only team to play lots of games. We have a big squad, an expensive suqa,d the whole reason for that is to handle games.

"His tactics are boring, slow and don't produce results"

Do you not realize we're 2nd in the league with chances created? Or that we're amongst the teams with the lowest goals conceded? His tactics are working. What's not are the players, and that's nothing Mourinho can do about, other than motivate. Our attacking players don't take our chances enough and put games away. A lot of the games are examples of that. And that's down to individual performances. Whether you want to attribute it to youth players who are going through the "2nd season curse" or whatever, that's another question. However I don't think the issue is with Mourinho's game plan.

And that's down to individual performances.

When it's every single player it's down to coaching.

How is it every single player? The only ones I'm seeing not putting away their chances are Martial, Rashford, Lingard, Pogba and occasionally Mikhi. The midfield and defensive players have been great overall this season. Romero and De Gea have responded to the call as needed. It's literally just a select group.
