My mission is to promote health and wellness.
The Ergonomic Design of the,STAND-N-PEDAL bicycle, will give seasoned cyclist as well as new riders the option to the traditional bicycle riding experience, the STAND-N-PEDAL bicycle will offer the standing rider positions, the mount, dismount, take off, pedaling, steering and resting positions. So we all know that standing is better for you then sitting. So I took the core mechanisms of a traditional bicycle,(Wheels, Derailleur, Crankset, Brakes, Shocks, Handle Bars, etc). I then redesigned the frame taking into consideration the human factors, such as structural, biomechanical, and ergonomics ,THE RESULT- The STAND-N-PEDAL,Bicycle, makes it easier to mount, dismount, takeoff, pedal, steer, balance, rest and control.
The standing rider mount procedure is so much easier because your able to mount the bike from behind, by straddling the bike without hiking your leg.
The standing rider take off position is much smoother because the handle bars or high enough to allow the rider using the pedals as a base support to pull and propel the rider forward. At the same time the rider is using the handle bars to direct the stability and control of the bike more efficiently.
The standing rider dismount position is so much easier and safer because you are already in the standing position and about 3-5 inches off the ground, so this allows you to just simply step off the bike.
While cycling in the standing rider position the rider is center of gravity on the bike, being center of gravity and the positioning of the handle bars to help balance your weight on the downward motion of pedaling, will enable your natural balance (equilibrium) to help create enough energy to propel your weight on the upward motion, this will feel as if your pedaling effortlessly,
The funds being raised will be used to start the company and manufacturer the first 100 bikes. These first 100 bikes and maybe the second and third production runs will be a generic single speed Stand-N-Pedal Bicycle. Expect future bikes to be full suspension with mutiple speeds and disc brakes. Expect Future bikes to have an option to address the plantar tendon issue for older bicyclers. Expect future bikes to have a beginner and experienced option. I'am very excited with the Stand-N-Pedal and thank everybody for your support.
