Everyone knows it is difficult to be a single parent in today's society.

Why do many women willingly choose this route, then try to present themselves as the victim due to hardships of mental/emotional/financial hardships? To spite the man? To get support? Just irrational?

We know the statistics of children being raised by single mothers too. Are women not looking in the long run, and not her own selfish desires for revenge?

It seems the most decent scenario would have been some type of mutual joint custody option, but I've read countless stories about men being disadvantaged in these situations.
