This shit is a nightmare. But you don't have to fuck yourself up everyday. If you feel overwhelmed (and honestly I know I've felt that way) take a break for a couple of days. Turn off cable news, stop checking Reddit, pick up a good book or binge watch a new show on Netflix. Recharge your batteries and then come back ready to kick some ass.

The disaster of Trump's presidency is addictive. He's got the White House (for now), we don't have to let him have our brains.

I personally got swamped for a few days with other crap and, despite the heavy load, felt lighter in mood. It also helps to stay out of the most dubious rabbit holes and gain some perspective. We should all march on the 15th, contact our representatives, and keep the discussions going, but for the most part, it does not help to obsess. Much (not all) of this is out of our hands at this point, like a watching a car chase and waiting for the flaming wreck, we can largely only see it unfold as spectators.

That said, we all should stay involved where it counts.
