There's a real culture of staying in Germany, in the same way English players very rarely go abroad

The few top players to move out before/during their peak from my knowledge are Kroos, Khedira, and Ozil who all went to Real Madrid.

The majority of the top players play in Germany, the lower premier league teams have a couple of Germans, but they're the ones that aren't good enough for Bayern

Well, there are lots of quality players in other clubs such as BVB, Leverkusen and Hoffenheim. Also, I don't think the players themselves only dream of playing for Bayern.

Germans, Italians, Brazilians... a lot of underrepresented nationalities for us

Yeah, I did think about Italy and Brazil as well, but then Italy has a very different weather and culture, and Brazil is well, extremely different compared to England.

Yeah I was amazed at that stat when we signed Bastian. You'd think over all the great periods we'd have had a german legend.

We've had more Norwegians play for us than Germans! That's fucking surprising for me!

I don't think it's just England they don't move to. It seems to be a theme among German players to stay in their home country and play there. Majority of their top national players are playing in the Bundesliga right now with the exception of a few (Kroos, Ozil, Gundogan, and now Draxler)
