It's really not. It might not be as good as other AAA games but it's not a bad game. I have no idea what price has to do with it either, how many games have you seen priced on how good they are? It's a massive bandwagon to shit on this game because it had some sketchy animations, despite the fact that 90% of games released for the past ten years have been released with some form of bug, and because it has some bad dialogue, despite that only one line gets called out for being shitty despite the game having 1000s of lines of dialogue. It's not as good as it could have, or should have, been. It's not a bad game. Though.

OK you clearly are plugging your ears to all of the TECHNICAL bugs the game has. Such as:

Double npc spawn.

Npcs spawning at the wrong time and offering dialog for side quests for a planet you are not on.

Npcs clipping into geometry such as walls, including enemies that will shoot you from within said geometry.

Player model being locked in a prone position upon entering a map.

Falling through the floor. Respawns either putting you back through the floor or at the base of "fall through" section of the floor.

In some cases on Xbox, the floor just not rendering, period. Something not fixed through restarting the console.

T pose animation lock for npcs

Lighting rendering issues.

Overall terrain/sky box rendering issues

Crash to desktops.

And that is not getting into bad game design choices (inventory and menu management), questionable writing, weak voice acting, and the facial animation hilarity.

There is no way that this game was ready for release and to charge full AAA price for something that needed months more QA time at the least is insulting to its fan base. Stop defending shitty releases because you like the franchise.

Games have bugs on release. Some make them unplayable. Many of them don't respond to those remotely as fast as Bioware has here. Doesn't seem to matter though. This game seems to have launched under some sort of coordinated campaign to make it seem like the worst game in history.

I'm sorry but the fact that weeks after release patches came out somehow makes it OK? Just because you didn't see them doesn't mean the other evidence out there doesn't exist.

They had to when you have reviewers with pedigree saying that this might be the buggiest AAA release they have ever seen. And that is such a terrible argument. This game is far beyond what is the acceptable level of janky bugs on the 1.0 except for Bethesda games.

It's not.

It's a decent game with some very questionable design choices that is marred with bad bugs on release. For 5 years in development at a AAA backed studio and a full new game price, this is acceptable? Like the whole animation for the faces is pretty bad and immersion breaking but 'the haters' arguement doesn't work when there are more than cosmetic issues afflicting this game. Releasing broken and fixing over time is bullshit and should never be tolerated for something that is being expected to be bought at full price.
