Women who want to "fix" broken men (self.MGTOW)

So there is (understandably) a fair amount of misogynism in here, and while I'm MGTOW I'm pretty moderate and ambivalent about it all.

But I wanted to create a discussion point that goes against AWALT theory and see what you guys thought.

There are women out there who are drawn to men who are down-and-out or emotionally damaged, who want to help "fix" them.

What causes this and what do you think is the angle a hardcore MGTOWer might see this as?

It's the nurturing nature. But as soon as he's fixed, she will be off to another one to fix. They get addicted to the good feelings of being helpful and mistake that for love. That's my poor-man's psychologist opinion (because god knows I'd never get that worthless degree).
