Bonobo Conspiracy

In 2005 through 2008 I wrote and posted a Web comic called Bonobo Conspiracy. I posted a new strip with a new joke every single day for just over 1000 days, chronicling the lives, thwarted romances, and mad science of Matt, Sun-Moon, Dr. Klaun, Algea, and a host of special guests. Although most strips were designed to stand on their own, I also gradually developed each character over the course of the run, and I ran a few multi-strip specials and storylines.

I started the comic with some specific goals in mind. Some, like posting 1000 daily updates, actually happened. Others, like reaching 10000 real readers, it became clear were out of reach. At about the same time I finished my PhD in 2008 I found I no longer had time and energy for the comic, and it went on long-term hiatus - and now that it's been roughly another 1000 days, I think it's time to take down the Web infrastructure. I will probably use these characters and this style again, but I probably won't start up Bonobo Conspiracy again in its old format.
