    Easy to say when you support united though isn't it, hard to have the patience to watch your team play utter shit when your sitting bottom of the table.

    Moyes is a terrible manager now and it shows in just how defeated their team looked, must be hard to justify spending a sunny Sunday watching your team get butchered.

    Though I do get where you are coming from, if you want to leave in the final 10 when the loss is inevitable then fair enough. But leaving half way through a game just shows how defeated the fans are.

    It's not always easy to watch United currently.

    Obviously it's not the same level of frustration at the club as a Sunderland supporter would have, and I do sympathise with their fans in watching their club not get the funding from the owner or a decent manager.

    Irrespective of that, your support first and foremost is to the club. Unless there's an organised walk-out in protest (which I agree with), stay to the end. No team wants to get beaten regularly, but to see your fans leave is just another blow. Morale is an important factor in football.

    If you can't face your team being beaten by whatever margin, watch the game on TV. That's just my opinion though.

    I wouldn't defend our own fans for it either.

    As I said, if you go to watch a football match, you stay right until the end. People leaving early because they can't take it should probably have just watched on TV.

    There's people all over the world that would kill to get the chance to watch United play at OT, even to watch us lose. Some people take it for granted.

    Another tap in miss today. And watching him mess up simple passes is so infuriating. Darmian in 15 yards of space on the right? Better pass it 16 yards in front so the defender can get there first.       Well we got the three points but it's not exactly reassuring. We were playing the team on the bottom of the table, and who were down to 10 men, City, Chelsea or Spurs would've put 4 or 5 past them.

      3-0 is a decent result, but there just seemed to be a lack of urgency from the team. Can't complain too much though, lets hope we can kick on in midweek and win on Thursday.

      I thought Zlatan, Shaw, Lingard and Romero had good games, but we still look like we are missing something. Was also disappointed that Fosu-Mensah didn't come on, but he's still young and his time will come I suppose.

      After seeing Shaw play today, and him later coming off, you can tell how much we've been missing Shaw. Blind did alright, but Shaw played a great game today, compared to other left backs that have played for us this season.       At this point just based on what I've seen from him these last few seasons, I'm rather certain once we put a slightly better team around him he'll be able to really bring his level up and completely change the team. Might sound like a biased optimism and maybe it is, but I feel quite sure of it. He shows those flashes of absolute brilliance every game, I just think he needs more players around him with the same creative ability to really unlock him.

        Every minute of the game after the 2nd goal has been like watching paint dry. What's the deal with the extremely slow counters and passing backwards? You'd think a certain Dutchman was in charge. No way Mou could be too happy about that. We play like this against a more motivated team and there's no way they won't try and get back.

        Happy for the third though. Rash needed that. Also quite impressed with Romero's distribution. Still, I don't remember watching a more boring 3-0. This can't be something to be too happy about, this is a team that's going to get relegated that we were playing against.

        Honestly I thought we didn't play very well. Result flattered us. Sunderland was really poor. We made a lot of mistakes with our passes - some of them particularly from Pogba, were overweight. Aside from Rashford's goal, we relied on individual brilliance from Zlatan and Mkhi. We can't expect them to pull of indivisible brilliance every single game. As a team, we're nowhere near the rest of the Top 4. Celebrate this win today cause we closed the gap up top. But certainly, we need to improve a lot more to be considered a top team again.

        I'll be the negative nancy because I'd like a little discussion, plenty of good from the game but plenty of bad.

        Lots of confidence to take, Miki and Rashford scoring should help them.

        Pogba is a worry, we need him ATM and he just sorta pops in and out of the game, he is fucking up some simple passes and I think a lot of it is confidence, also has lost his desire to shoot because 3 or 4 times he was in a shooting position and passed it.

        Also next 3 games are Chelsea at home and City and Burnley away...could be a really rough few weeks upcoming :(

        I think we were overall fairly average today and Sunderland made us look good, especially our defence but overall I'm satisfied with 3 points.

        Romero- good game besides the communication breakdown with Bailly at one point. Excellent distribution.

        Shaw- seemed a bit hesitant at first. Noticed he told rojo not to pass it to him early in the game for no apparent reason. Grew into it and had a few good contributions going forward. Hopefully a sign of things to come. Doesn't seem like he's enjoying it much though still

        Rojo and bailly- pretty solid as always even though they're a bit rash as always too. Main weakness seems to be not following runs into the box always which lead to the few chances Sunderland had.

        Darmian- looked better on the right as he always does. Doesn't have the physical presence of Valencia but handled Sunderlands big man on that side decently. Seemed keen going forward even, asked for the ball plenty of times but seems like teammates were hesitant to give it to him. Lacking a bit of trust maybe, but maybe he can turn it around like rojo by playing more in his natural position.

        Herrera and fellaini- play similar games to be honest. All about working hard and fighting for the ball. Both lack a bit of creativity in their passing which holds us back. Need one of them and a Carrick replacement to be paying together.

        Pogba- has that attacking creativity we need but felt like especially in the first half he dropped deep so he could get the ball from fele/herrera/rojo/bailly from 5 yards away to start an attack which rarely lead to anything. Maybe he doesn't trust fele and herrera to do this job. Think he needs to focus more on deliverijg the key passes in the oppositions half which he does better than anyone else on the team.

        Mkhi- invisible apart from the goal, but shows important class and finishing that we desperately need.

        Lindgard- think he is severely underrated on this sub by many. No one creates space and makes runs like him. When he decides to take on a man or three it usually ends up dangerous.

        Zlatan- plays his game as he always does. Target man and holds up the ball and above all manages to score. Don't think mkhi did well enough to run in behind. Obviously important to the team and with his goals but I'm also excited for when he leaves to see how the younger players with more pace fill the void

        Martial and rashford- so much pace but both lacking the final product a bit this season. Rashford finally put one away so maybe this is the start of something. A fluent attacking trio of mkhi/martial/rashford should be lethal but feel like we haven't seen it at its full potential yet with zlatan being undroppable. Lindgard and Mata can slot right in too.

        Main issue as always is the inability to do anything with possession. Our possession based attacks are so flat and lacking in creativity it's disgusting. Need more runs and more options and more quick passing moving forward. Sometimes it seems like it would be better if we held the ball further back in midfield instead of being cramped around the box before passing it wide for a shitty cross. A lot of positive movement on the breaks but squandered a lot of chances due to bad touches or final passes.

        Overall a 5/10 match which could have looked very different if it wasn't for the red card and if Sunderland got a goal from one of their chances. Happy with a solid win though and hopefully it builds a bit of confidence

        Considering current scoring form I'd have took +3 pre game. Goal difference could very well be key in the race for 4th so would have been nice to have pushed harder for more goals against 10 men, especially once they put Borini on and opened up a little. Overall happy with the result though.

        Everyone going on about a 'poor' performance. Look, I want entertainment as much as the next guy, but we're in the run-in now. We need to be conservative, no need to break our necks when victory is near guaranteed.

        Yeah, sure there were still flashes of our lack of sharpness, but what do you expect? It's not gonna disappear in one match when we've struggled with it all season.

        What we really need is to show a step up when we face tougher opposition, but can't really showcase that against a relegation team. We managed it in the league cup final, so I have a twinge of faith that we could do again.

        In any case we have to accept we're not gonna set the world alight this season, it doesn't mean we shouldn't demand that they grind out a result; just don't think we are gonna be Barcelona all of sudden.

        On a similar vein, Fellaini is playing much better now, he is playing quicker and better passes and doesn't necessarily kill every attack anymore. Yeah, he's still too slow to break up play or make a counter, yeah he needs replacing; but its an overreaction to call him terrible every match.

        Shaw had a great game overall compared to his performances before and his bad relation with Jose recently . Seems things starting to go soft between them but I won't be rush and say he'll solve our LB problem completely . Let's see him performing consistently like this in some more games before we can talk .

        Zlatan with the business as usual , goal and assist , but people will still hammer him if he made a bad pass or two . The guy got 28 goals and 10 assists in 43 matches and people're still complaining . Mikhi and Rashford got nice goals to boost their confidence . Martial's still dire , though .

        A 3-0 win but I'm struggling for positives. We were so poor today, if we don't shape up we are in for a harsh reality check against Anderlecht and Chelsea. Bottom of the league with 10 men and we still can't make the ball work, we still insist on playing so narrow even though Sunderland can do nothing but pack the central areas and look to cling. We should have stuck 5+ in today and sorted our goal difference out but we are just content to plod along like usual.

        At 50 mins just take 1/3 holding midfielders off and get Martial on, we don't need 6 players to mark Defoe. Fellaini was woeful again, Darmian can't cross a ball so he's no good at fullback, Lingard was anonymous, we just don't seem to know what we are doing and rely on individual talent to dig us out, while that may work against Sunderland it won't win you titles. We used to be ruthless and now we are content, at 2-0 they stopped playing and were thinking about dabbing on instragram.

        Just a few points to note about the match :-

        I don't want to sound whiny and I just want 3 points every game, but I can't help but feel a little disappointed with the performance especially considering we're playing against the worst team in the league by far, and one who were playing with 10 men for half the game.

        We just look so disjointed in attack. Always passing it either a little too hard or too far ahead of the intended target. We don't do enough of the one touch and move play which almost all the big teams use when cutting through defenses. It doesn't look like we train attacking plays at times because of how random every attack seems to be. There really isn't a gameplan, and if there is, it looks like its up to chance more than anything.

        I said this is the half-time thread but Sunderland did not look interested to play for big portions of the game. They weren't even parking the bus and looked as lost as us occasionally.

        I repeat, I'm fucking glad to get the win, but we really shoudl've battered them and finally increase our GD against them but it seemed like we were just happy to win.

Playing against the tables bottom team, who needs the 3 points, which tries to attack, doesn't park the bus, has a red card, and we barely score 2 goals in 55-60 minutes, when they are so exposed at the back?
