Longtime Internet security-policy pioneer Howard Schmidt died on Friday.

He will be missed.

So sad to hear. He will be missed. May he rest in peace.

Worked in cybersecurity.
Too early a death from too rare a cause.
- Translation: "brain" cancer; too "smart" for his own good.

RIP, Howard -- blazed a trail for our profession in government, "dot coms", and larger industry groups.

Very sad. I worked with him many moons ago during the PCIS and CIAO days. He was a class act.
