Mata, Mkhi, Rooney in that order. Rooney hasn't been world class in years, and Mkhi has only had a season or two that were comparable to Mata.

I would choose Mkhi simply for the reason that he is the only one that can run the channels and generally make runs behind the defense and that is extremely important when playing with Ibra.

Although i do think mata is a bit more creative on the ball and is a bit more harder to mark in the box. The current Rooney neither has the creative ability nor the ability to run behind the defense.

Mata in his Chelsea years, by far #1. Now however, his game has changed. He's not the one pulling the strings, he's the one making runs behind the defence and making space for other players. So I'd go with Miki. Our best combination so far this season has been Mata on the right with Miki at 10, that goal against Leicester is a prime example of what they're capable of together. Suits each others games perfectly. Plus Miki can blaze past players with his incredible high speed dribbling and that can be very dangerous in the center of the park. But we need to see more creativity from him.

Rooney to be perfectly honest seems most effective on the left wing now. Too much pressure on him in the middle, whereas on the left his options are limited and that helps him focus on what he's good at.

We're still tinkering this season, and I hope by the next we'll have a settled first XI.

As a #10 I'd have to say Mkhi since Mata's best games for us came on the RW. Most entertaining was when we played a 3 behind Ibra of Martial---Mkhi---Mata. They just exchange positions so well and create space for each other.
