no, but the same admin that's literally banning children from the country is now so moved it fires weapons.

this developed in the early 1900s. US an island nation, so leaders needed morality/identity-based argument to mobilize for action abroad.

We overplay it but I don't think that was the crux of Afghanistan & Iraq. Also, many here are making self-interest argument re chem weapons.
