Depay and Schweinsteiger are the worst two players to play for this club in the few years.

Schweinsteiger was such a waste of time, don't get the whole episode of him and why he's so loved. He came here for the money and as soon as he signed the contract he was happy to just to take the money

Also he literally fucked off to Germany while he was injured to prepare for Euros. He is a lovable guy for the media and fans, also a legend for germany and bayern, but his time here was questionable

Falcao was worse.

Wait, I take that back, Memphis was just as shite. Schweinsteiger not so much, he just didn't fit into Mou's plans.

Schweinsteiger was never great for us but he was never poor. He was brought in on the cheap for reasonable wages to be a first team starter for LVG. He always gave a 6/10 performence in an otherwise unproductive team. He was really popular in his first season because he was usually one of our better players. I'm sure he was a good influence to have in the dressing room. A bad signing maybe given how it went under Mou, but he was far from being one of the worst players for us.

I am cult fan of Fellaini. He's not a good player, but I will forever love him for this moment: http://i.imgur.com/XsuFp1c.gif

I also just love the controversey surrounding him as a player. I can say "I like Fellaini" and it drives my friends insane.

My controversial one is rashford is shit and he won't make it at United long term. I have to play my feelings down as he is a Manchester boy. But honestly, he only has pace and his finishing 1 on 1 is terrible.

    [–]RogerFedererFTWFellaini the fluffy Belgian sprout[S] 2

I think it's still way too early to judge his future, but he certainly hasn't that special striker, "hunter" instinct if you will. No instinctive finishing like young Rooney, no longshots or creating chances from his own like young Ronaldo. Also weak left foot. But i think he will be better playing off a target man, kinda like Griezmann.(without the creativity, so far)

Yeah I completely agree with you. It's the killer instinct I'm worried about though as its not something you learn. But you make a good point about him playing off a target man.

I think in fairness he DOES create his own chances sometimes. But usually through pace and he does occasionally attempt long shots (recently anyways) and they're usually better than his close range shots

Rashford has the potential to be a top player. The way he effortlessly beats players is crazy. We know he can finish as well.

He has had a poor season however and as talented as he is, he will never be good enough to lead the line ahead of our other options. He isn't going to reach that level if he doesn't start. But if he does start we'll win fuck all.

The only way I ever see him becoming top class is if he is sold. Stick a buy back in their and assure him he is in our future plans if he does make it big.

Can't believe this has to be said in all of these, but don't downvote people you disagree with, that's literally the purpose of these threads.

As for your unpopular opinion I agree to an extent but you have to remember that the kid is 19 years old and he has bags of potential and so many options in his tool box. His finishing really has been poor this season though, way worse than it was last season, same can be said for our entire squad though.

That's true and the pressure of nobody else chipping in doesn't help. But for me strikers either have that killer finish or they don't. I can't think of a single one who ever improved it to world class level even if he is only 19. they are very different strikers but he reminds me of welbeck this year. He could have been one of the best strikers ever... If he could only finish. I hope I'm wrong but Time will tell.

What top striker was banging them in in a top league at 19?

    [–]RogerFedererFTWFellaini the fluffy Belgian sprout[S] 1

Rooney and Lukaku in the league the recent years

So you can think of 2 in the last 15 years?

Owen, Rooney And pretty much the majority of world class strikers. Rashford will have a career at the top level but United need world class strikers. Not premiership level. Even giggs and Ronaldo were scoring more goals at that age from midfield/wings.

Higuain at 20 at Madrid - 8 goals

Cavani at 20 at Palmero - 9 goals

Zlatan at 20 at Ajax - 14 goals.

    Kane at 19 at Norwhich/Leicester - 2 goals.

Benzema at 19 at Lyon - 12 goals.

Lewondowski at 22 at Dortmund - 10 goals.

    Rashford at 19 - 8 goals.

    Not really the majority tbh...

Even if he doesn't become world class, having a striker like Rashford coming off the bench would be huge for United but let's be honest we won't know how he turns out, he's still very young.

Rashford has been awful this season. Or have you not been watching.

Awful is exaggerating, he's been brilliant at times (mostly early on in the season which does reinforce the confidence argument, or certain games as a sub like West Ham) but of late he's been fairly shite

I'm not convinced Mourinho is the right man for us, now before you downvote I'll attempt to explain why.

Firstly, youth and no not just the academy whilst his record with the academy has been poor I'm not too concerned about that, rather with him developing young players overall. I don't think its a coincidence that with him coming in Shaw, Rashford, Martial etc. have all regressed. Jesse Lingard is the only one that hasn't and you can debate whether or not he even counts as a young player given that he's 24.

We have 0 structure to our attack, it looks like he either tells them to go out and do whatever the fuck they want OR to fuck long balls and crosses to Fellaini and Zlatan. Conte and Pep have ways that they want to play and in the first case a solid attacking structure, we don't and it worries me.

His comments, his demeanour and all that aren't intuitive to a long term stay at the club and frankly with the way we are set up we ened long term managers, we have no style, no director of football or continuation between managers which is part of the reason why we aren't good atm, Real have a DOF and a style of play which is a big part of why they can change managers so often, we don't have that.

IMO if Jose fails to get CL regardless of the route UNLESS performances take a big upturn and we're playing good football and dominating teams with lots of goals towards the end of the season then he should be sacked, whos available is the issue, Allegri perhaps? I'd take a punt on someone younger as opposed to an established manager as that hasn't worked the last 2 times.

    • I don't give a fuck about De Gea leaving. You wanna leave to be with your girlfriend or at your city and team? Go, bitch.

    • Aside from Valencia, Bailly, Pogba, Rojo (Maybe) and Herrera, Mata, Mkhi and Martial, I wouldn't be annoyed by seeing any of the rest leave if it meant getting someone better.

[–]RogerFedererFTWIf we aren't in Champions league next season i'll eat our shirt[S] 8

Nah mate, a player isn't a bitch if he wants to go to live with his girlfriend and play with one of the best players of all time. Di maria was a bitch by your logic because he didn't give his best for the club. De gea has been very respectful and i don't think he doesn't try try his best. We can't have negative feelins about De gea if he leaves.

Nah, I lied, part of me will definetely feel like he's a bitch if he leaves us just to be with his girlfriend. Now, I'm not saying that I'm right, it's just what I know I'll feel.

    [–]RogerFedererFTWFellaini the fluffy Belgian sprout[S] 1

But why though? Why would you stay if you were him? You are from there, your family and your girlfriend/maybe soon to be wife is there. Madrid not only is in the champions league, they won 2 in the last 3 years.

"Bitch" is just a way of talking. I definetely don't think he's a bitch.

Can't be calling the sole reason we haven't been an actual mid table side last few years a bitch fam

Agree with your second point, our squad is really overrated and has gaping holes.

I completely agree on de gea. He has made a few wonder saves which nobody in the world could make but most were in the same game. Other than that I'd actually say he has had a bad season. Mistakes have cost us points and his slow distribution and lack of communication with the defence doesn't help.

    [–]MarcusRashgodDarren Fletcher -3

I wouldn't mind if Martial left if we can bring in a top striker like Auba(in case Ibra leaves), and a top winger like Douglas Costa.

Not the attitude to have we need to keep players like martial and bring in other great players if we are too improve. Get rid of players like rooney young etc.

If we sell Martial and bring in D.Costa I'll be pissed. Martial has the potential to be so much better.

I'm sick of cunts on here being so bastard negetive, all the damn time, and when we're not negative, posting the same circlejerk crap over and over again, I only come here for news now, I could have a discussion with a mirror that's more diverse than the shit that's regurgitated these days.

Formulate your own opinions, watch and analyse the games yourself, admit when you're wrong, it's not difficult and i'm sure people would respect you more than saying "Pogback Dab Factory Incoming" or some BS about directly replacing Carrick with a Carbon copy of himself.... Fuck Off.

It's ironic how you are the most negative person on this thread. If you want more discussion you can go to the countless other united or football forums.

Of course people will be emotional after a bad result. And memes will always be upvoted by users who aren't regulars and don't notice that they see them every day

Mate you posted the bloody thing, I was being negative on purpose, hence unpopular opinion....? What else did you expect.
