The Ukrainian language word for "wormwood" is чорнобиль or "chornobyl", the Ukrainian name of the town of Chernobyl.

Now lets observe the specific verse of the Bible which mentions wormwood: Revelation 8:10

And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters; And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter.

So the prophecy tells of a star falling from heaven. Interesting however is the nuclear meltdown of the Chernobyl facility with nuclear reactions being compared to the same kind of reaction found inside actual stars

The verse also mentions a 3rd of the waters becoming bitter due to wormwood. Check out This map of large aquifer systems of the globe. and look at the numbered regions which identify large aquifer systems. NUMBER 33 looks to be the largest of them and YES Chernobyl is on it.

The elephant's foot

The Elephant’s Foot is so deadly that spending only 30 seconds near it will result in dizziness and fatigue. Two minutes near it and your cells will begin to hemorrhage. By the time you hit the five-minute mark, you’re a goner.

Even after 30 years, the foot is still melting through the concrete base of the power plant. Its existence makes the city uninhabitable to humans for at least the next 100 years. If it melts down into a source of ground water, it could trigger another explosion or contaminate the water of nearby villages.

And yet, in spite of the Elephant Foot’s toxic presence in Chernobyl, something strange is happening.

Could Chernobyl be the spot of where the Revelation prophecy spoke of when it talked of making a 3rd of the water bitter and killing those who drank it? The facts here are pretty disturbing - however I will leave further speculation to the reader.
