0' KICK OFF Everton get us underway!

5' United and Ibra looking very lively early on and we've gotten behind the Everton defence twice already in the opening minutes. Not clinical enough (as usual), but hopefully this keeps up.

11' United doing well to keep the ball and move the ball up the pitch. It looks like we're making a concerted effort to not float crosses in. Nobody's been in the box when we're on the wing and everyone's hanging around the edge of the box. Lingard just flashed a shot from range wide.

15' United fly forward and Ibrahimovic feeds Rashford through who's one-on-one with Robles but is offside. The shot was well saved so it doesn't matter.

20' Mirallas is played through well over the top by Barry and Everton have their first corner of the game..

21' EVERTON GOAL Jagielka scores...somehow? Williams flicks the ball on from the corner and Jagielka hooks his foot around it and it goes through De Gears legs and Everton lead...

29' UNITED COME CLOSE! Lingard is tugged down maliciously by Mirallas and the free kick duty on the right hand side falls to Blind. He strikes it well over the wall but Robles saves and Herrera can't do anything but smash the ball against the bar.

35' United not looking attacking at all since the opening fifteen-ish minutes. Everton have been quite comfortable when we're in possession.

38' Herrera forces another good save from Robles! Herrera strikes from the edge of the area with his left foot but Robles flies to his right and tips it wide.

This is the absolute MYTH that people are perpetuating that we're creating a ton of chances. All a chance created is, is a shot or shot on target. Doesn't matter where it's from, or the difficulty of the chance.

Van Gaal didn't like players taking low percentage shots, so our chances created and shots on target were lower. But we were way more clinical because the chances we did create were guilt-edge ones.
