This also took place right after a recession. Naturally GOP is gonna be negative during Democratic administration in a slow recovery.

You fail to note that the trajectory is upward throughout the Obama administration. Slower recovery=slower growth of GOP positive views

The US Great recession started in Decembee 2007 ended in June 2009. Also doesn't explain the gap between Democrats and Republicans

Democrats are generally better off, and recovering from a recession like 2008 takes a lot longer than 2 years
