Thoughts on Rashford going on loan in the PL next season? (self.reddevils)

I was watching a stream last night about the possible signings at United next season. One thing brought up was that Rashford has been struggling a little bit to find game time as a striker (he has been playing as winger) and hasn't had the run of games like last year to improve his game. One of the ideas is that if we get a big name striker we should loan him to a PL team like Bournemouth or Crystal Palace to be the main man in the striker position. This would allow him to get a nice run of games get that goal scoring run that we know he is capable of.

So what are your thoughts? Should he go have a go in a smaller PL club and come back more prepared or should he stay and continue to develop in Manchester?

I think he's getting plenty of development here, even if he's not starting every game.

It's important not to underestimate the importance of being around the winning mentality of a club like United (even if we're not winning every game atm - compare this to the type of club he'd be on loan with), and building chemistry with team mates.

If we had Zlatan stay and signed another top striker, maybe we should consider it. But so long as Rashford is one of our 2 main guys up top, I think he should stay in Manc.

Yes he really good at United this year. But if the Griezmann transfer is true and Ibrahimovic stays for another year, there will be hardly any room to play. Sure he can be a backup if any stickers get injured but it would be a shame for him to be a backup. If he would to go on loan he would get chances to start every game. That would be best for him. I would love for him to stay but maybe a loan would be best for him, to better himself and his experience.

Nah, let him adjust to the pressure and weight of United. It's not like that anywhere else in the U.K., he needs it if he's to succeed here.

Depends what happens in the summer. If we sign someone who is going to keep him out the team for most games, yes. He could do great things at a club like West Ham. But if he's happy, Jose wants him and he plays enough, no. He needs to prove himself consistently at a big club. I don't want us to become Chelsea where we just loan 50 young players out at a time who never actually play for us. If we loan him out, I want it to be so he can get game time and develop into a player who will force others out the team. Do I think he'll get that at any other club more than he will at United? No.

I would love this. Rashford is nowhere near the level of Mkhi and also behind Martial. We can't have him being a starter, but he has too much potential.
