GT uses movie-only villains, which isn't canon. Period. They're from what-if stories.

But Broly is canon. So is Plan to eradicate the Super saiyans which confirmed Broly. And although the cooler movies are non canon, PTETSS makes the character canon, meaning similar events happened in the dbz timeline. Also, Bojack unbound is canon.

+Chase Super Android 13 is what if. Fusion Reborn is what if. World's strongest is what if and all the original dragon Ball movies. They even place the other movies in a specific place in the timeline. So it fits.

I don't think Akira has confirmed anything canon or non canon. Except Super 13 which is an alternate timeline. Usually we have to rely on the overall setting of the movie to determine where it is.

It wasn't canon with the manga, no. It was canon with the anime for a very short time, but Akira quickly declared that it wasn't and finalized his word on it through Battle of Gods (the first canon Dragon Ball movie) , where Pilaf mis-worded a wish that made him and his cohorts kids instead of Goku. GT had some pretty deep symbolism,and nostalgia to it,i mean it brought back the young Goku while also having a normal size Goku with ssj4,not to mention they brought back the Giant Ape concept with ssj4.They brought back so many forgotten notions like the planet Vegeta's origins and the revenge of the Tuffles.And not to mention the fact that the Dragon Balls were so important in this anime,I mean it's called Dragon Ball.They even showed there is a price to pay for spamming the dragon balls like they did in the past...Also Piccolo reached such an enlightened mindstate that he saw no place for himself on Earth,maybe even so he cannot see the others grow old and him staying the same,maybe he could not bare to see Gohan,the first being who acknowledged him...die before him.
DBGT is amazing stop being pussies and ride the hate train because it's mainstream to do so.U know u enjoyed why compare it to Z?They were different styles,u cannot compare horror to drama.
Lastly,doesn't GT have the most fitting ending posible?Goku leaving with Shenlong,to another journey like he always loved to do.Goku is not meant to settle down,he is a legend,an idea of freedom and growth.

The concept of GT was excellent. DBZ was very warmly received, but people missed the playfulness of DB -it started off as a gag manga after all, and Toriyama's specialty are gags. DBGT went off this concept: they realised that what people wanted was a mixture between DB and DBZ. That's why Goku is shrunk to a kid size, that's why there is a focus on adventure in the first half, then a focus on battles. That's why there are trips to collect the Dragon Balls. The tail was brought back, Goku became a lot more childish, and SS4 was to satisfy the DBZ criterion. That's also why, for all fights, Goku is the only one who can do something: just like in GT where he was the only Saiyan.
The series itself has moments similar to DB: Baby was like Tao Pai Pai, because he fought Goku and nearly killed him. Goku survives, trains and comes back for round two. 17 was like Piccolo Daimao: he killed Krillin, he fought many others while Goku was away (in Hell), and Goku's final attack is more or less what he used on Piccolo. Omega was like Piccolo Jr: he fought Goku one on one, and once he fought he killed Goku he turned away, only to be hit by a surprise attack. What Goku refused to do when he won in DB, he does in GT: He becomes something equivalent to a God with Shenron. The early space adventure was meant to mirror Goku's first search for the Dragon Balls.
The only thing is that GT was poorly executed. They tried to make the humour resemble DB too much in my opinion. They also more or less disregarded canon (especially introducing the black star Dragon Balls, and reintroduced the concepts in a way that could have been much better done. Super on the other hand, is based on the same concept but does it much better.

+ZaHermit I wholeheartedly agree with you. I mean I still think it was terrible, but I aknowledge what it did right and I don't think they didn't try at all. I still had to watch the whole darn thing and and of course ssj4 was awesome. Heck the ending even managed to make me shed a tear.

+ZaHermit Piccolo gave his life so that no one else could misuse the Black Star Dragonballs but perhaps he also did it as a final act of goodwill and farewell to Gohan seeing that he had matured into a man with a wife and daughter. It's my hope that after the series ended Yema allowed Piccolo back into Heaven so he could be with Gohan and the others.

It's not really main stream to think it sucks. it's really just that we whole heartedly believe that this show sucks. maybe you can't compare horror to drama but I feel like you can very one dragon Ball to another. Honestly bringing back goku and the great apes wasn't very novel. Why after how long dragon ball was already, would anyone want to see kid goku again? The black star dragon balls? Also just an absolutely awful idea. Why do they scatter across the universe? I can understand why younger generations like this though. It's kind of like how star wars is for my generation. But come on dragon ball gt, from its characters to its story line to its script is all pretty bad

+Brandon R considering gt is the only dragonball I've seen I can't really compare it to the other series. All I can say is that I enjoyed gt for what it was and still seems like a dragonball series because it sticks to the formula: journey to find all 7 dragonballs to stop an overpowered villain and revive everyone after defeating said villain. Sure some scenes were kinda stupid( goku reflecting a kamehameha with a stick and then balancing a destructo disk with the same stick for example), but at least they brought back former villains and made some characters useful again( for a brief period of time at least) and we could see if they've grown between dbz and gt

I agree. I really like this series I remember waiting every Saturday to watch the next episode on cartoonnetwork and I still think it's a good series. I can't wait for the db super to be translated but even of that makes gt non canon it's still good

+Roger Malik Smith Piccolo barely was even a character in GT. If you started with GT you didn't even know piccolo, his death needed more, they brought him in, just to end his life... They ignored the entire cast. People call GT Goku Time, because it's literally Goku and Pan, no other character gets any attention.
The humor is NOT funny at all.
They tried to pull off an Akira toriyama feel, but failed miserably.Especially since their goal is to save the earth, if they don't succeed 7 billion people will die, but yet, half the show is trying to play it off, It worked in Ball, not in GT like trunks becoming a drag queen, and the para dancing shit.
The animation had its ups and downs, they reused animation during fights, constantly.
Goku becoming a kid instantly ruined the show for me, it's like we went back 20 years, it ruins all his character development.
Also, Pan is an annoying little cunt.
Main reason. The plot line is great, Like you said, the dragonball spamming, and the tuffles. They never lived up to the story though, it was always watered down, and they barely ever seem to focus on the main mission. They constantly wasted time with side missions, the pacing was just awful. But they were good ideas, poorly executed.

+Emily McGowan Goku, because the show only ran for 64 eps so they kinda had to get the action going. Vegeta didn't achieve SSJ4 until one of the very last episodes.
But regardless, I'd rather have an early transformation, that the bs they pulled in DBZ where it took Goku to ep 80 to transform. Even the name of the episode "Transformed at Last", have I always interpreted as even the animators being tired of waiting.

I liked the idea of Goku becoming a kid again, I loved Pan's character and design, she was the emotional one, I loved Trunks' new outfit and his role as the wise one. And above all I love the sense of adventure when they hunted down the Black Star balls.
Episode 10 however, is the only one I disliked, because of the dancing.

dbgt is great, and nostalgic. now I see. I used to hate bc I thought it didn't follow along the lines of dbz power ascension and character and added new elements, but as you say it shows a different aspect of the same story, more symbolism, new ideas that makes it new above the original db.

I feel the same say. It had some really great concepts, like a set of dragonballs made before Kami and Piccolo split, a Tuffle wanting revenge against the Saiyan Race, a new, much more powerful Super Saiyan form achieved by turning into a Super Saiyan Ōzaru and taming the beast within, 17 being corrupted and turned into a new, incredibly powerful Super Android, monsters born from the overuse of the dragonballs, etc. Just bad execution, too many inconsistencies, trying too hard to copy Toriyama's brand of humor, focusing too much on the protagonist while hardly making key characters from DB and DBZ even relevant, and, in some cases, making characters look bad. Though, despite these problems, I did enjoy the series. It's not perfect, but, despite bad execution of really awesome concepts and other problems, it did a pretty good job with what it had. Maybe, if Toriyama had been more involved with writing storyline, it would've been better. I guess we'll never know.

1. Deep Symbolism? When since has Dragon Ball in general have deep symbolism? Hunter x Hunter has deep symbolism, FMA has deep symbolism, Dragon Ball is just a typical shounen battle manga with comedy and that's all it needs to be/ why we love it lol....Can't believe that you GT fanboys have resorted to made up points now lol

I think that everyone can agree that GT had great concepts, but the problem with it, is that they were executed TERRIBLY....Baby was absolutely pathetic, Dunno what was the point of Super 17 but he was cool and the Shadow Dragons was a great concept but weren't anything that special until Omega came around and their designs were lazy and generic

They took what was wrong with the Buu Saga and amplified it by 10000000000 - GT was simply "The Goku Show" - Nobody except for the core 3 characters got development.....Everyone forgot to train even Vegeta, everyone became pathetic and useless and had to rely on Goku to do everything.....They wasted Uub as a character too
7. How does one make a Dragon Ball series, and completely forget about core characters like Krillin and Piccolo....I barely even remember that Krillin was in GT and both he and Piccolo barely did shit yet alone get much screen time
8. Piccolo dying was random and unnecessary, it didn't add anything to the plot and was out of character....I also like how the Namek Dragon Balls magically disappeared into thin air with no explanation
There's a lot more that can be said but quite frankly the only good things about GT was SSJ4/Golden Ape and the interesting concepts that you mentioned plus a few others like the attempts at world building etc

Well said' friend. Can you believe that people are actually choosing and defending Super over GT. LOL! They prefer re-watching a 1-hour movie stretched into 20 episodes with animation even lazier than Kai's, rather than GT, which brought new adventures and so much nostalgia. GT is Dragon Ball in its most creative form.

I wouldn't call a forced Dragon Ball Hunt in the stylings of the Original Dragon Ball a "New" adventure. I wouldn't call the Ginyu force clones new either. I wouldn't even call the "X-character dresses up as a girl to save the village and get a Dragon Ball" new, because guess what? We already did that in Dragon Ball! It's insulting that you can sit there and call GT creative when the entirety of it's plot is simply shitty rehashes of existing DB/Z episodes, and even some movies. You're mad that DBS fans are rewatching a movie, but your dumbass rewatched an entire series and pretended it was good! The movie was at least original, if I wanted to watch Dragon Ball again so bad, I'd do exactly that. Who would waste any time on this garbage?

DBGT has its flaws, I agree, but so does DBZ. Like, Buu wasn't that different from Cell IMO. Both characters were about absorbing others to get stronger. I didn't found that to be too original.

To be completely honest, the dragon ball villains are not very compelling or interesting.
Frieza is a totally on develop character.
Cell semes like a villain with no motivation, or just a ripoff of Frieza.
Buu's most unique feature is that he likes candy and can turn anything into it.

ZaHermit gt had amazing ideas with horrible execution. They made most of the shadow dragons irrelevant and had them all taken out by either goku or pan. They did piccolo so much injustice it's insane. One of the most important characters in the series appears once only to die. It's like they forgot he existed then decided fuck it let him die. They made vegeta a pussy who doesn't train anymore, ruining the core of his character (look at how great vegeta is in super). Making goku a kid is so damn retarded. He might be in a kid's body but he's not a kid anymore, he has the brain of an adult. It's just pointless. We aren't getting kid goku, we're getting goku looking like a kid with the brain of an adult. The reason we loved kid goku is cause he was legitimately an innocent child, not because he was a father of two who had responsibilities. And you said the key word yourself. Nostalgia. This is the only reason people think gt is amazing. While baby had the best motives out of all the villians in gt, they made the final battle essentially goku vs vegeta again but with a shit twist. And gt flip flops between genres. The first arc is comedy (which is horrible and cringy) with the afterthought that earth will explode. You can't mix 2 different ideas that clash in the same arc. After that, gt pretty much becomes like z (except way worse). Batman v Superman had symbolism and nostalgia, does that mean in was a good movie? Hell no. Stop defending gt because you like to wank to ssj4 goku. But one thing I agree about is that the ending in gt was the best in dragon ball, and possibly in anime history.

Brandon R they scatter the universe because the black star dragon balls go across the universe instead of the planet hence the name Dragon Ball GT Dragon Ball Grand Tour they take a grand tour together. it is pretty mainstream to hate gt and you know it bringing back the apes was a great idea going back to their roots in a way and kid goku? nostalgia. There are plenty of reasons why GT Is what It Is and they did and amazing job on it. It may no longer be canon to many and cuz of that it goes straight down the drain but if you love db as much as i do and go deep into it i think of GT as a what if story.. Another dimension. so while super is taking place so is GT in another dimension. just stop being so negative and enjoy the series for what it is and what its become. so what that goku acts idiotic in super. super still did have some feeling in it for me im pretty sure for others as well. In the future i will look back and remember dbs and watch it again because its not even that bad ppl on the internet just love being the little sheep.

Well, GT in itself was pretty bad. I even thinks so for DBZ, and even more for DBS. DB was cool tho. But Gt has a few good ideas. Anyway, what I meant is:
1. Yeah, Kid goku was a really bad choice. He could be reverted to a weaker form, and a younger one, but he shouldn't lose his "maturity" (after all, we're talking about Goku, he's not an example of maturity)
2. Altho Trunk was pretty lame, he's a good presence in the show. He'll not look like Future Trunks because HE IS NOT future Trunks. It's normal, it's in that way that he has grown in DBZ/GT. Making him the "mentor" (the brain) of the group wasn't a bad idea.
3.Pan was ... Ugh. Nah I definitely found her annoying as hell. She was literally a little biatch. Nothing more. That's a shame, she was so cute in DBZ ... Oh, and for all of you, that's denying the fact that she can't attein SSJ... A sayajin is a life form with limitless potential. They can overcome gods with enough training/challenges. A semi-Sayajin (Gohan/Trunks/goten) has more emotions, can turn easier into a sayajin than their parents because of that, but also have a better potential. Why ? Because humans are known for their adaptive abilities. Sayajins are not humans. They grow from battle, but they can't compare to humanity. Remember how Vegeta/nappa and Raditz were astonished with all the little tricks Goku&co had ? So yh, that potential resulted in a fast growing breed. BUT They're not sayajins. Why would they call Gohan's power pic "Ultimate Gohan" ? Why wouldn't he transform in SSJ in that form ? Because he can't. It's the utmost power that was allowed for a semi-sayajin/human. Using the best of those two. Semi-sayajins don't have limitless power.
Back to Pan. Whose daughter is she already ? Oh, yeah, Gohan and Videl. A semi-sayajin and a human. She only have a quarter of sayajin in her blood. She will be better than humans, but can't compete with the other, that's all '-'
4. The humans: Well, yeah, some people seems to be frightened that Krilin, picollo, tenshin&co were useless. Hum ... They almost were already completely useless against Cell. It's normal, The Earth was set to be a WEAK planet, with WEAK Inhabitants. I can't even see how they should compete with Sayajins and their foes '-'. Well, picollo is another story, he's better, but hasn't the potential of a sayajin.
5. Vegeta. Damn, that point is a pain. His design was lame, and the fact that he completely stopped training doesn't fit the character. He should have been better, and stronger.
6. For the story-line ... The dragon balls... Why does Namek's ones disappeared ? Why would they fly thro the universe ? How could they spawn those incredibly powerful foes ? During all the show, the wishes couldn't be fulfilled because "nah bro, this guy's too strong for me" "nah bro, that work is too much, go fuck yourself"
But the fact that continuous and repeated utilization of dragon balls would cause a yin/yang effect was good.
7. Humor. And adventure. Yeah, they tried. In fact, they failed. It was not funny, not at all, for most of the puns. They tried to do DB in its purest form, its origins, but not. Just no. I don't have words for this, that was just lame and boring. And would they seem so relaxed ? The sake of Earth is on the line.
8. The foes. I Liked them. The tuffle was a good idea. The golden ape via artificial means using technology was a good idea. The ape origin was definitely a GOOD IDEA. Technically, it was supposed to be the sayajin's power in its wildest form. They just erased that fact of DBZ's plot ! And Omega Shenron was cool as well. At least, he had more reasons to be here than some others ... Since when does a senile old man can create cyborgs with limitless energy and more than super-powered aliens rivaling gods ? Well, it was not the case in the past, but still. Frieza was supposed to be the most powerful being in the universe beside gods and the sealed Buu. And then some old man creates a cyborg with infinite energy and superpowers, with technology still not used in the future of DBZ... And a being that could absorb them to be even more above the most powerful beings of the universe ! Super 17 was cool, but he shares the same fate. How could he be created ? Anyway.
9. SSJ4. I'll not lie, SSJ4 is by far the transformation I prefer. And for some reasons, I'll only talk about the transformation against Baby. Being able to transform into SSJ4 and unlock the best possible power out of the sayajin is just the most logical thing they did in terms of growth. Master the beast within the SSJ Ape, to conquer the wildest form of power, and a stable mind, concentrated in a small form. The Design is good as well. Tho I prefer the actual one, maybe a more Ape-ish color or a golden color would have been better for logical reasons. But the tail being brought back, and the furr is pure logic. (At least more than the transformations of a certain canon anime). (I'm just talking in terms of design here). It was Really powerful. Above all the things we could have imagined. And for the first time, I found Goku Was dead serious. Even the fight against Frieza was not that appealing. Because against Frieza, rage was his motivation, here, he's just Serious. Well, enjoying fighting as always, but he is here to wreck some asses. In top of that, it wasn't the almighty Genkidama that ended up the fearsome foe.
10. The ending, which was really a good one. It just reminded me of a certain moment where Goku was endlessly running/flying through the dragon road.
Well, to conclude, it was a bad show, with good ideas.

I gotta be honest. I liked the first couple episodes and from baby saga till the end. But the first arc with the different planets was annoying as fuck. They made goku so weak and pathetic it wasn't even fun to watch. Everyone knew he could turn ssj3 and he was a lot stronger than all of the opponents.

The concept of GT was excellent. DBZ was very warmly received, but people missed the playfulness of DB -it started off as a gag manga after all, and Toriyama's specialty are gags. DBGT went off this concept: they realised that what people wanted was a mixture between DB and DBZ. That's why Goku is shrunk to a kid size, that's why there is a focus on adventure in the first half, then a focus on battles. That's why there are trips to collect the Dragon Balls. The tail was brought back, Goku became a lot more childish, and SS4 was to satisfy the DBZ criterion. That's also why, for all fights, Goku is the only one who can do something: just like in GT where he was the only Saiyan.
The series itself has moments similar to DB: Baby was like Tao Pai Pai, because he fought Goku and nearly killed him. Goku survives, trains and comes back for round two. 17 was like Piccolo Daimao: he killed Krillin, he fought many others while Goku was away (in Hell), and Goku's final attack is more or less what he used on Piccolo. Omega was like Piccolo Jr: he fought Goku one on one, and once he fought he killed Goku he turned away, only to be hit by a surprise attack. What Goku refused to do when he won in DB, he does in GT: He becomes something equivalent to a God with Shenron. The early space adventure was meant to mirror Goku's first search for the Dragon Balls.
The only thing is that GT was poorly executed. They tried to make the humour resemble DB too much in my opinion. They also more or less disregarded canon (especially introducing the black star Dragon Balls, and reintroduced the concepts in a way that could have been much better done. Super on the other hand, is based on the same concept but does it much better.

Lets not forget how in one episode, GT randomly decided to kill Piccolo out of nowhere to try and force emotions. In my opinion, GT wasn't terrible but shit like the Piccolo death and plot holes in the Black Star Dragon Balls just made me facepalm. Nonetheless, the Shadow Dragon Saga and SSJ4 were pretty epic. I just wished they didn't try to force things into the story or onto the viewers.

Ssj4 was pretty epic. The style of the drawing was basically based off of a legend Sun Wukong, which makes a lot of sense since Dragon Ball was actually based off of Journey To The West

I liked that it went back to being an ape man, but by that point iwas just about a shiny new powerup because GT couldn't into actual storytelling. I'd have liked that as, say, super saiyan 2 rather than some even further beyond crap that didnt look like 1-3 anymore.

I mean, it WAS actually terrible. A lot of stuff in the show made no sense like the fact that vegeta was being controlled by baby. Vegeta would NEVER let that happen it should be impossible for anyone to control him but they had to fuck that up. And the fact that goku was a kid the entire show made it really boring and fights were less epic like in dragon ball z. It's basically like the original dragon ball which I did like but why the hell did they go forward in time for goku to reach ssj3 and then not be able to power up until the last couple episodes which were actually not bad (ssj4)

I watched GT soon after I finished watching DBZ back when I was younger. My brother and I would watch it and I think we even ended up recording some of the episodes on VHS tapes, lol. My younger self really liked GT but comparing it to all the things that have happened with the franchise since then, I'd rather take DBS over GT. This doesn't mean I hate GT, in fact I don't even hate it at all. It's just that I feel like Super works as a better continuation of the story where DBZ left off. That's just my opinion though so don't take it personally, lol.

It is actually my honest opinion GT is not that great. A lot of the ideas were good, but poorly executed. The first few episodes looked like it was going alright, but it really didn't. I can tell you why, first of all Goku is a kid, which I would have been fine with if they had returned him to (permanent) adulthood within 15 or so episodes and actually resolved the issue. Also, poor pacing; it takes more than ten episodes to collect the first two black star dragon balls and then they get the rest in one or two. This happens because the writers wanted to rush Goku back to Earth. Another thing, we see hardly any other characters do anything besides Goku-a recurring complaint, but it applies most to GT. Every other character is crap in terms of fighting villains, they only serve as power-ups to Goku. In fact we see hardly any other characters develop at all. When it came to fighting the shadow dragons I expected Vegeta and the rest of the Z fighters to spread out and take them on in different groups. That would've been a good idea, would it have not? Not to mention the final fight with Omega Shenron. All in all, GT felt rushed.

Most peoples' criticisms come from the way it tried to blend the adventurous and whimsical flair of OG Dragon Ball with the high-stakes action and tension of Z, to varying levels of success. Like in the first arc, I'm all for a pilaf saga-esque hunt for the dragon balls BUT IN SPACE WHOOOAH, but the whole "earth is going to be destroyed if they aren't found soon" thing kinda puts a damper on the fun times. Basically it's the plot of one show with the tone and mood of a completely different show.

Anyways i liked that arc the most, still surprised to find out that's actually the most hated though

The first and final season were probably the best parts of DBGT. I also liked the reason to transform into SSJ4 and the traitor plot for Giru was also a pretty major thing. I still don't like that they found all the Black Star Balls so quickly in the first season and i wished it took them a little longer. Maybe they should have scrapped the useless Super 17 saga and then it would have been a little better.

GT peeps need to understand that GT isn't canon. GT wasn't even made by Toriyama! All Toriyama did was help with the character designs. Super, Battle of God's and Resurrection "F" basically replaced it. The show itself is good but as a continuation of DBZ, it's bad lol. But many good things did came from GT that many people don't notice. Lol I bet lots of money most of the haters didn't even watched DBGT.

Well you don't have to complain about the Vegeta/Goku show anymore I honestly don't know why people were calling it that as the series progressed anyways. Well now you have your characters back, Krillin, Tien, Majin Buu, Piccolo, Gohan, Roshi etc. By the way GT was really just Goku saving everyone else, even Vegeta. The only good things I saw from Vegeta was the use of fusion and a small bit during the Baby arc.

Time for an analysis.
0:08 Goku is sitting on the earth (representing that he is earth's hero.) It also demonstrates that child Goku is in fact an adult-turned child, this essentially tells the story and presents the problem
0:16 this scene is important as it showcases the story and demonstrates all of the characters personalities. Starting with Pan. We see Pan struggling to hold Giru/Gill (who I will call "robot" from here on out) Pan struggling to hold the robot symbolizes her internal struggle of how she wants control in her life and is tired of being treated like a child, at 0:18, Pan loses the robot then goes into a fit of rage, symbolizing her anger and bossy attitude and how she demands things to go her way.
0:16 Next we see Goku's personality, he's eating, which is a classic anime symbol for the lighthearted "simple but stupid" anime protagonist. If you look very closely at 0:17, you will see him make a slight glance at Pan, checking to see if she is okay, referencing their relationship. Goku later looks up at Giru and smiles realizing that everything is okay.
0:16 Lastly, Trunks. Trunks remains calm, cool and collected, during his appearance. Only to be distracted by Pan, implying that she will be a nuisance to him throughout the series (which she is) Trunks immediately gains his composure and returns to his calm self, smiling, giving the audience an "you're in for bumpy ride" glance.
0:21 to 0:39 aren't really anything important other than a funny glance of Mr.Satan giving the peace sign and the show giving the viewer a quick view of what is happening (It's a space ship, It's going to an alien planet and it is obviously an alien planet because it has dinosaurs (Creatceous), weird trees and a really close moon. It also shows the space ship crash land, Probably referring to How Pan left behind the little piece of the spaceship in ep 2, it also provides a bit of comedy.)
0:41 Next, we're introduce to naked Goku, This demonstrates how Goku embraces his youth and innocence (through nudity) and Pan angrily hands him clothes, showing her desire to become an adult and telling the audience that she won't put up with Goku's immaturity. Those laughing alien cats-things laugh, telling the audience that the show will have humorous elements to it.
0:49 More humorously/lighthearted elements. Telling the audience absolutely now that this series will be more lighthearted than DBZ
0:51 This bit seems to be for younger kids who have not seen DBZ. It seems to be used to tell the audience that the main characters have supernatural powers.
0:54-1:00 Nothing really important. Just a shot of supporting characters. It seems to be looking out from the spaceship
1:01 Another scene that demonstrates the characters personalities and fighting styles. Goku does a punch symbolizing his Anime hero personality who is always rushing towards a fight. Pan opens her arms, demonstrated her youthfulness and her graceful fighting style. Trunks does a-sort-of salute, symbolizing his soldier-like attitude and the fact that he usually fights to kill/defeat like a soldier. The lyrics also make reference to Courage, Pride and Love. I'm guessing Goku represents Courage, Trunks represents Pride and Pan represents Love.
1:07-1:16 It shows a scene of a battle (which fits in with the lyrics of exactly when the singer sings "fight") Next we see each of the characters demonstrating their abilities. We see Goku use his signature Kamehameha wave which also tells the audience that we will be seeing old elements from DBZ in the show and showcases Goku's abilities. We also see Tapion's (Future Trunks') sword In Trunk's hand which is a nod to DBZ elements that will make a return and it showcases Trunks abilities.
1:16 random shot of a planet
1:17 Next we cut to Pan who has no special ability so she just resorts to jumping on the bird/ostrich thing, demonstrating her ability to think outside the box. We see Goku and the spaceship (Obviously being piloted by trunks,) following behind her, symbolizing that they will always be there. This also gives the audience a hint that they are after the dragon balls.
1:27 Next we see the gang on Monmaasu, where they are resting. Pan picks up a flower and smells it, representing the beauty of nature. She is startled by a creature which then holds out a twig-like flower. This represents that along that way, they will meets enemies and problems but they will always still find good in their world along the way.
1:31 And one of the final scenes of the characters facing an omega shenron-lookalike monster together and easily winning with teamwork.
1:39 Pan and Trunks escape the area, but Goku breaks out, symbolizing his non-practically personality and his wildness.

I don't understand why people hate GT so much. Yeah it wasn't as good as DB or DBZ but it wasn't bad at all. It was good to see Goku as a child again, I friggin' loved SSJ4 (my favorite ssj form) and the ending was very good. Quite frankly, Super is much worse than GT.
