On r/WorldNews, user ConnorGillis posted here the following apologism for the Venezuelan Supreme Court stripping the elected Congress of all its powers:
He dissolved the US backed opposition party who has accomplished nothing in power, they have failed at every step. Look at unbiased polls amongst the Venezuelan people. Just because the Maduro government doesn not bow down to the imperialist will of the US does not make them the bad guy.
THIS IS NOT A COUP, it is in the Venezualen constiution to allow the government to dissolve an incomptant National Assembly legally.
For you Liberals Jimmy Carter has called Venezual as one of the most democratic electoral democracies in the world.
For the love of god just do some research reddit. But what do I expect from capitalist loving, socialist vilifying privileged reactionaries.
This headline is pathetic. It is a legal measure within the Venezuelan governmental system.
He then posted here a thread in r/Communism about this comment, where he invited other users to discuss about this comment; comments are predictibly bashing "bourgeois media", "reactionaries" and "imperialists."
BONUS: The same user also posted here a thread on the "gains achieved by the Bolivarian revolution" and wrote the following comment, since deleted:
Oh look a reactionary has found their way into a sub without contributing any meaningful discusion. You might need to see yourself out of here before you get gulaged. Ableist piece of shit.
