What position will we finish? (self.reddevils)

With City, Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham still to play this season, where do you think we'll finish? Surely with 2 games in hand and the opportunity to take points off the top 4, we should be finishing with a CL spot.

I ran through it a few times and had everything from 3rd to 6th, but what I got from it was total points and how close it actually is. Every time I had 1-3 points separating 3rd through 5th. Also had Spurs sneaking up on Chelsea and getting to within 2/3 points of them

I ran through it and got us 5th as well.

Not to be a pessimist, but that's where I thought we'd finish anyway.

Only way I can see us finishing top 4 is if we manage to win at 1 or 2 of spurs / arsenal / city away from home. Our fixtures are really tough.

Just ran through it again and had Chelsea bottle it and us to win the league - but I'm an optimist

I ran it with us drawing every game for the rest of the season, we got 7th.

You should be finishing top 4 tbh. The usual teams are having their usual downfalls. Just need a solid streak.

1 - Chelsea

2 - Spurs

3 - City

4 - Liverpool

5 - United

6 - Everton

7 - Arsenal

Right now i'm just hoping that we beat Everton and Chelsea thrash City so we have a real fighting chance. Remember that we only have 1 game in hand over City and we still have to win it for it to count.

Compared to the rest of the top 4 Liverpool have a ridiculously easy fixture list for the rest of the season and with no games left against them we just have to hope that they fuck up, which they've shown for most of this calendar year that they are more than capable of doing.

Liverpool (this season) have had trouble with the bottom half of the league. They are great against top 6 but not against the teams they should beat.

Yeah I mean I was worried about Liverpool's fixture list but did some working things out earlier and saw their points per game vs top 10 was 2.25, whereas vs bottom 10 was 1.64. Having an easy fixture list really means nothing in this case

I had us tied on 3rd/4th with Liverpool, City in 5th & Arsenal 6th. This is dependent on Leicester keeping up their form as well as some upsets by the likes of West Ham and West Brom. I had us drawing with City, Spurs and Chelsea and beating Arsenal. Don't think I picked us to lose anything but a few draws, as per our form.
