A lot of the rationale behind MTGOW has to do with the traditional role of the male as provider, specifically with the perversion of the justice system forcing him to provide for women who decide to leave for dubious reasons but still demand provision.
So I'm a young-ish guy, poor at the moment but I have a what is probably one of the most archetypal "beta-bux" careers out there, and this got me thinking about career women who earn equal or more than that of a given man, and what the dangers would be of attempting a relationship with this women. Now I'll agree to the notion that whether by some sociologic remnant or perhaps even biologic imperative, this situation is less than ideal for the instincts of the man or the woman in terms of each being outside of the traditional roles. Trust me, it is very difficult to be attracted to the women in my career, they are at times very masculine in their drive, and I was raised by a stay at home mother who probably imprinted some image of wife I should try to find on my impressionable brain.
But I guess my question is, what are the risks should this not work out? All I can really think of is custody of kids, and that is more and more being awarded equally (especially if our archetypal career woman does not really want full/is able to structure her career around full custody).
Any stories? Any ideas? What am I missing? Is this a low-risk gamble? Or is at least lower risk than a lower-earning woman or woman without any career at all?
