You used to create them through Battlelog and add friends that way. When a person creates a Platoon, they are the General, and have full control of the Platoon. Instead of Battlelog, they will probably use the Battlefield app or in game UI.

I wish you had an option to change the uniform of the medic sometimes, or it least Camo on the British Empire Medic in Suez, and other like maps. Sometimes that head wrap is a giveaway and I feel like I'm spotted quicker in close quarters.

Not many people know this, but in 1892 scientists discovered how to clone people. Come WW1, the process was perfected and clones were able to be produced at an accelerated rate.

That is why soldiers often looked identical. This is more prominent in the game, because it is DICE liked taking certain liberates with technologies during the time period. Such as how many weapons and vehicles were still in the experimental stage during the war.

I'm actually okay with the Indian brit skin, seeing as how they colonized India and actually had large amounts of them serving in their army in both world wars. So this is a little bit of a false equivalence.

Oh my god. Why is this such a problem for people? It makes no sense to me.

DICE wants to have a balance between historical accuracy (not putting in random ethnicities/soldiers who were never used at all; they only draw from the race pool in World War 1) and political correctness (so not everybody is white; no matter if you have all whites or mixed people will complain).

It seriously makes no sense why this is such an issue. Everyone's okay with respawning, 4-5 shot kills, planes coming from thin air, historically inaccurate battles, no trenchfoot and not much trench warfare, soldiers having the same facial models despite each person in real life being different, infinite vehicles, Ottomans having a ton of tanks... the list goes on, but when it reaches skin color, something not very noticeable, oh jesus DICE WHAT HAVE YOU DONE YOU'VE RUINED MY IMMERSION NEXT YOU'RE GONNA PUT TRANS IN THERE? WTF DICE YOU IDIOTS

Transgenders were not really a thing in World War One, neither was being openly gay, neither were midgets or down syndrome people. Black and Indian soldiers were in there, however, even if they were very few compared to white men.

It ends with people who participated in the war in a recognizable amount. Down-syndrome, midgets, openly/obv gays, obvious trans, "ameri-indian" people... they were not in World War One nearly as much as blacks and Indians, even if Indians and Blacks were in for a little amount too.

If DICE were going for diversity or a "libtard agenda" (as I've seen it put here a couple times), they could have put Mexican/Spanish/Latinos, Chinese and Japanese, etc.

      Personally, i don't think there has to be hatred for something to be racist. I think racism is defined by treating someone DIFFERENTLY (not necessarily badly) because of the color of their skin. I do kind of think that they were pandering a bit here, which by my definition would be racist. But FWIW i dont really care and honestly didn't even notice there was a black german soldier until reddit threw a bitch fit about it being "historically innacurate". Its a video game, not a documentary. It literally does not matter at all.

      It certainly makes sense for the French, the USA, and possibly the British Empire (I'm not sure how they employed black people) as well as the Ottomans (I'm assuming their North African holdings yielded them a lot of soldiers from Africa). The Germans didn't have the capacity to ship men overseas, so they "kept" (meaning they didn't ship them to France) their African soldiers within their few African colonies.

      I think the best solution if they were to change anything is to just have generic heads that can be chosen like in Battlefront (keep the helmets on though, and no 80 year olds). They could probably even reuse the assets to avoid extra cost.

      You wouldnt spawn on anyone else but it would mean when you join you wouldnt have a scramble to join the same team.
