While I've been thinking about creating this community for a while, I felt particularly inspired by today's senate hearing. So here I am to present to you:
/r/ActiveMeasures
I think that reddit as community (and the world in general) needs to learn to step up against propaganda and active measures use to manipulate and control us. In particular, I think we need to reduce the dangerous filter bubble-inducing censorship going on in some of our more political subreddits. Creating this subreddit is my attempt to create a space where we can discuss and combat these active measures. It's my hope that other people will join in and help me build a community that works well, and I'm open to suggestions and ideas if anyone has any.
If you are interest please check out the post I stickied on /r/ActiveMeasures about why I created it and the sort of moderating style I am considering pursuing.
