Maybe a few years ago Turkey was a good place to visit, but not today. I’ve encountered a very bad treatment of tourists and Turks do that purposely. The reason is politics, the clashes between Erdogan and Germany, Europe, everyone else. Turks act just like their president. Their ‘good’ respect to women is just another trick. On my last trip I’ve met a 29 female tourist from Germany and she was raped by 5 Turks. I have to say Turkish police did nothing to detain them and accused the girl in coming to Turkey and work as prostitute. We were lucky to save her from prison and for that we gave the police $1700. I’ve emailed her and now she is fine, if the word is suitable. As far as I know she wasn’t the single victim and female tourists in Turkey should be cautious. I would even suggest everyone avoid visiting Turkey.
