Loving a team gives you a 1-32 chance of being happy with the Super Bowl results. Hating al other teams gives you a 31-32 chance of being happy with the Super Bowl results. Simple math says hating results in more happiness.

Hating al other teams gives you a 31-32 chance of being happy with the Super Bowl results.

Assuming al=all, wouldn't there be a 100% chance that some of the teams you hate lost. You aren't unhappy when the team you don't hate wins.

So, a few things:

!. Nice write-up. the Vikings sub is a shithole most of the time, so I avoid it even as a fan of the team.
2. Vikings fans are looking to vent, and there are only so many times you can burn a picture of T.J Clemmings in effigy. 3. The OP for the Vikings thread is delusional, don't go to a team specific subreddit if you are looking for something beyond homers and karma whoring. 4. Fuck The Packers ; )

  1. But on a more serious note, fuck Gary Anderson, and I hope T.J. Clemmings never looks at a football field ever again. What he did this year should be considered an accomplice to assault

What'd Clemmings do?

That guy is a pretty active in /r/nfl and was what initially caught my eye for this post.

Every time I've read a comment of his, I imagine his face turning cherry red and smoke coming out his ears.

Being a packer fan in Minnesota, this is delightful drama.

This has been happening in the AFC North subs somewhat too in regards to posts about the Steelers (mostly the Bengals sub but I don't look at the others that much). And I'm sure all the AFC East subs are super bitter at the Patriots right now. Rivalries and hate don't just die down once you're not playing anymore I don't get what's hard to understand about that.

I'm usually not one for trash talking or hating on fans of other teams, but this is delicious.

On a side note, it seems like most of the football-related threads that have appeared here have involved the Packers.

What Reddit needs is good old fashioned spam bot invasions for enemy subs

I am a patriots fan.

Packers fan, welcome to what patriots fans have had for two decades. Except, 3 teams hate you. 31 hate the patriots

I think it varies some. The Pats have had a dynasty going for so long its hard root for them and easy to root against them.

I have nothing but respect for the organization. When the Pats were at Lambeau a couple years ago the respect Belichick expressed for the Packers and their history left me with warm fuzzy feelings for the team.

Brady is a good man and a good player. People talk shit, he wishes them the best and says how they are great.

BB gets shit on a lot. But he sticks it to goodell and all the corporate shilling, like all the fans want coaches to do.

Kraft gets ignored but he paid for his stadium without the city helping him, and he puts millions into the city around him.

And people still shit on the team. I don't get it

The more I read about the team the more I don't mind them. I think people's main complaints are how noncompetitive they make the AFC and how obnoxious SOME of their fans are. The persecution complexes I've seen on some users in /r/NFL are ridiculous. If this is how dramatic they get when the team goes 14-2 they better jump off the bandwagon when BB retires.

My only thing is that I don't like dynasties, except for my own team. Obviously I want us to win all the titles, but if we aren't, I want everyone to get a chance rather than one team winning over and over again. Yes I know this makes me a hypocrite. I don't care.

But I was rooting for you against the Seahawks in XLIX, so nice work there. And overall the Patriots are a good organization. I don't dislike them the way I do, say, the Cowboys.

I mean they are one of the most dominant teams in their sports in history. It's hard to root for them as a non fan. It would be like rooting for the Empire at the end of Episode 5.

This is why I don't get into sports (even things like e-sports, and I'm a huge gaming nerd). Jingoism annoys me and I honestly, legit get the impression people follow sports teams just so they can place this weird sense of self-worth in someone else's accomplishments, or so they have an excuse to rage on people who disagree with them because they can't control their passions and need an outlet.
