Like cowards Reddit admins have suspended /u/marusama's account for making this post, making no further response.
We could talk about bias, it's plain to see that Reddit has a positive bias towards Nazis, White supremacists, Misogynists, Queer and Transphobes, and other monstrous forms of social oppression. It's plain to see that they allow violent and threatening language and actions against marginalized communities on their site, only to crack down on the left when we dare to bash back. That is not what I'm going to talk about though, because frankly I don't give a fuck about "Bias", I give a fuck about Justice.
Justice tells me that catering to the safety of Fucking NAZIS is fucking wrong, justice tells me that White Supremacy is fucking wrong, justice tells me that Rape is fucking wrong, justice tells me that Encouraging trans people to kill themselves is fucking wrong..
This is the monstrous horror show that Reddit has become, every time there is a controversy that reaches outside media they eventually cave and squeal out "but we just want to defend free speech" in defense of their disgusting negligence towards humanity.
Apparently in 2017 the idea of "BASHING THE FASH" has become impolite in neoliberal discourse, a thought which must have many of our grandparents and great grandparents rolling in their graves. This idea that "BASH THE FASH" is an incorrect sentiment is built upon the cracked foundations of the liberal notion of free speech ...that if only we give Nazis a platform then everyone will see their grotesque ideas for what they are, "don't worry, the marketplace of ideas will allow bad ideas to die!"
Blegh!, what utter dreck! ...Fascism is always waiting in the wings for times of economic and social uncertainty to capitalize on people's fear and anger and misdirect those emotions at some minority or marginalized group. If this notion worked, Adolf Hitler would be a footnote in history, known only for his shitty art and his "wacky" ideas.
This same political incompetence still permeates the collective consciousness, the idea that we must give terrible people a platform so they can say and do terrible things, this is the reason for Donald Trump.
It seems to me like Reddit as a platform has just become more and more shitty over time, "Joke-racism/sexism" is pretty much the norm on the defaults, marginalized folks face harassment with no recourse, reactionary brigading is commonplace, this place might as well be the new 8chan, and Reddit admins seem to just not give a fuck.
And now they want to ban "BASH THE FASH"???
Reddit admins, I've had enough of your shit, it's about time you EAT MINE.
