This post is dedicated to all of you who have tried online dating with no luck, it focuses specifically on Badoo, think of this as a case study, a tale of how you compare to a realistic catfish (aka Chad profile). I'm doing this primarily because I personally want these answers and I'm sharing this because I know many of you do too.
I've seen comparisons before, but I really have to question the validity. In the posts I've seen guys claim to utter any old shit and get a response. Well we will certainly test this too, but we will be focusing on much more realistic scenarios.
For this reason what you find here as always is 100% true, it might not be as spectacular as you would like but it is true and trustworthy.
So let's get started.
In roughly 3 weeks of active usage I've had a handful of likes on my real profile, in comparison the catfish got more likes in 1 hour.
I wanted to also put to bed the notion of age. I'm 40 now and I was really wondering if age was my limiting factor. So the catfish, has age set to 40, although the pictures are what appear to be a 36 year old, however one photo looks roughly 39 years old.
On my real profile I have had a couple (yes that's right 2) women actually engage in a conversation. Both of these only lasted the first day. On the following day, neither actually responded. In addition my hope was to meet a woman. So the catfish profile will be chatting to these exact same women in an attempt to offer a comparison.
It's really anyone's guess what will happen. Perhaps the catfish will secure a coffee date, perhaps not.
What I am genuinely curious about is if women will start a conversation with the catfish rather than replying.
How will I feel about this. Well who knows? On the one hand it's fairly obvious that a more attractive male would get more replies and interests than a less attractive one. Women could argue the exact same thing. This isn't really the point of the case study.
Instead I want to know that this shit actually works for someone, my age. If the catfish doesn't score any hits or get any interest other than the like button, then clearly it's some prime time bullshit.
If the catfish does remarkably well, then at least the offering on these dating sites isn't a total scam. Because up until now I have yet to see anything fucking tangible come from Badoo and a big part of me really believes that most of the profiles are not only fake but faked by Badoo themselves, I'm hoping to at least disprove this theory.
So if that catfish does well, using same / similar dialogs, then arguably it is just an attraction thing, and I get that, I can't force women to be attracted to me, if I am clearly not attractive to them. And that's ok, but I want to be absolutely certain about this, that's the point of this.
Obviously it will take a while to gather the data, I would say 3 days seems fair, so expect an update then.
