The problem is that this is bad advertising. People seeing the ad would fel Hi Rez is forcing the god pack on them and get annoyed.

If anything they could have the large pic of Cernunnous with "New God: Cernunnous" written on top and something like "god pack deal blah blah blah" written at the bottom. This would give the viewers the idea that they are promoting/introducing the new god and they won't directly associate the ad with irritation caused by pop-up ads.

This is basic advertising. I got no idea who Hi Rez has in charge of their marketing but meh. They should check more advertisements, like at least check out the HOTS 2.0 promotions to see how promotional items should be made.

tl dr: Damn ad looks like a mobile game ad shoved to the face and more likely to be counter-productive.

As far as I know Rangda is revered by Balinese Hindus. It would be a nice way to incorporate another culture into the game without actually making an entire pantheon.

Plus it would be a safe way of adding another "Hindu" goddess to the game. Hindu goddesses are more volatile, let's face it, the whole world is getting more reactionary and volatile. I would say Rangda would be a comparatively safe addition.

To top it up Hi Rez now has SEA servers and it would be a nice way to further appeal to people from the region.

Skins are a luxury item that you can pay for, but you don't have too. You don't absolutely need a skin to win the game. The game itself is F2P And the godpack is the best deal, unlock all the characters, which is 86 at this current time and will continue to grow for quite some time I'm sure. If you're complaining about them advertising a sale on a good deal.. Then you're a moron. Not to mention that the Season ticket stuff is free this year.

Argument of ignorant " ITS FREE, ITS FREE" free game doesnt mean the company can be shit to their playerbase, it doesnt mean they can be scammers and money whoring company that doesnt listen to its players

only someone who doesnt know what hirez used to be in the old days can defend their behaviour right now, only reason i stick to this game is because i played it for so long that it feels weird to just stop, but hriez changed alot, and whenever they do shit like this i will just complain, thats it

The people who have the godpack and have no idea how frustrating this is are here saying "quit complaining, it's a free game, quit whining" But that's privilege i guess, they will never see things how we see them.
