I agree. The mainstream media has turned politics into a spectator sport and many are quick to accept the notion that it's like a team sport (which it isn't). I'm glad when people take interest in politics but to think that issues can be defined as black or white (for lack of a better term) is dangerous. Unfortunately the majority of the Republican Party have no integrity and are quick to push propaganda to their base in the form of garbage like Fox News. True conservatism however is needed to balance the system, which is why the majority of educated people are centrist with a leaning towards an ideology.

So, part of why Trump won was something called Blue Lies.

I'm not sure the best way to counteract them, or if humans are even able to override them. If we are stuck with blue lies because of how our brains work, just handing that weapon over to Know-Nothings and refusing to use them ourselves may not be smart, strategically.

If the side that embraces blue lies normally wins, do you really want to take them out of your arsenal?
