-What are we seeing here? Mostly white men trying to break down one of the few successful black women in the entertainment industry.

-Most gay men and some vicious women have called Wendy a man to get to her because ShouldershouldmatchthemhipsBUTTHEYDONT

-THere is no proof whatsoever that Wendy was aware of what was going on with Ericka Toure Aviance

-WHo btw has a very extravagant look and I think her daytime look clearly read as drag.

-When you go to be an audience member on TV, you are supposed to be THE BACKGROUND and not draw attention to yourself. A phone call prior to the show asking if it was fine to show up in drag would have avoided this situation.

-It's Wendy Williams she is known for talking shit and gossiping, it's her job

-If you have 2 brain cells you can figure out she does not like being upstaged, but I think if you showed up in drag without asking prior you'd be booted off most TV audiences - prior to today I mean when this became a national issue. It's just common sense that as an audience member you're supposed to fade in the background.

-Ericka Toure Aviance identified as a man at the time of the show so does it have to be "transphobic" when the person is not even trans? Could it be that her choice of clothing was a little unfit for what was expected from a WW audience - ie soccer mom sunday look, or a shirt.

-Y'all are getting her case for making jokes about a murderer who wore nail polish for a few months and had a questionable appearance so she altered her name to a feminine one. Boohoo .

-A lot of LGBT people still call Caitlyn Bruce and much worse things because she's from the orange weave party

-This is a storm in a teacup and y'all are getting too excited whenever you have an occasion to tear someone down

-I'm not a fan of Wendy Williams and don't particularly care for her. I don't watch this viewing party so she could be replaced by Dida Ritz for all I care ( Did I go there!!?). There are more graceful ways to boot someone off a show however.

Someone who wanted attention was not placed front and center in a TV audience. That's all that happened

Although I agree with what you're saying, I don't think Wendy does herself any favours on the whole. In my opinion, she's someone who thinks that the opposite of being fake is to be caustic - it's apparent in how she interviews her guests, and it difficult to warm to her. 'Realness' is not rudeness.

To assume the view of someone you don't agree to be one-dimensional and poorly reasoned, is, in itself, one-dimensional. I've not rushed to any conclusions about Wendy; this is my opinion of her.

Nothing in what I've said has disregarded that Wendy has worked hard to be where she is, and I'm not acting as a spokesperson for the gay community. I clearly stated that I was expressing my opinion, not the opinion of many.

I'd be wary when painting the entire gay community with the same brush - there is nuanced thought and individualism in every sector of society.

It wasn't Wendy is the point of the post. She literally shows up and talks. The crew handles all the other details and if you've ever worked production you know the golden rule is to not involve the star in these minor issues.

In this case I don't see how it is transphobic when she has not met the person in question AND she did not identify as trans at the time of the show.

I highly doubt Wendy played absolutely any part in kicking Ericka out of the audience. She can say "we had so many conversations he said it was fine I don't get the problem" if she wants to, but it doesn't jibe at all with her first saying that she was told to come back on Halloween. It conveniently goes from "on Halloween" to "whenever you want". Well gurl, which one is it? More importantly, don't act fucking stupid. You went there, they hid you off camera because they didn't want their episode to be about you, and you came back later trying to pull the same stunt you already knew they didn't want.

Either way I still don't like Wendy Williams, personally, and I think exploitation is her main game, but then, so was Dolemite's and Shaft's, and everybody loved them.... Anyways I just wish they would've picked someone else, but whatever. I hate TV as a whole, I'm only watching for drag race, not the commercial breaks.

Even if you put aside the trans-phobic accusations (which I don't really think you should), aren't there many other better options than Wendy Williams? I didn't know anything about these accusations Friday when I was watching the first episode, but I was very confused as to why she was the choice to do this. There are 100 past queens that would have been a better choice along with many other members of the LGBT community or true allies.

I know there is a long story of black woman being told they are man by white man, it is a disgusting practice meant to make them feel lesser than a white woman, Wendy's critics saying that kind of stuff just help people empathize with her.
