Ha ha, very interesting coming from an 'outsiders' perspective. Wisdom does come with age they say.

Loved the last line... Im looking forward to getting old so I can be be as offensive and miserable as I like and get away with it.

Lol, if we ask her too many things as once, she thinks we're secretly trying to figure out if she has dementia and it makes her pretty salty

Does it help if you tell her you remember it the same way?

Ha ha, that's so funny, bless her, Grandma hasn't lost her marbles yet then it seems 😆

Same time line as us apparently! Interesting how she just sort of accepted the sun could move and change and did not worry about the logic or freakiness of it though! Maybe she got mad because she thought you were doubting or messing with her, kind of like when some of us spend too much time on the main sub and start to get really crabby.. ;-P

Cool story :) it is interesting and I suppose she might have experienced more in the. Time she has been around without paying attention.

Speaking of weather I live in a windy city and I am used to it but for maybe 2 weeks or more a month ago the wind blew all day everyday for those 2 or more weeks at stony 45km/h or more.

It was strange enough for everyone to notice that we have never had weather that bad for that long.

It's November and I went for a run yesterday.

My face got sunburnt.

I'm not saying that proves anything but wtf?!?!

Right, it has been pretty crazy. My neighbor was outside the end of last week mowing his grass while wearing shorts. And I had to swat a bee away the other day while out on the porch. It was so warm on voting day, people were taking their jackets off and fanning themselves

People get sun-burnt in the middle of the winter. UV rays dont go away because of the seasons.

I know.

then why were you all "wtf?!?!"?

Because even if it's not mandela effect related, it was pretty wtf.

skiers have to wear sun screen when they go out on the slopes. If you spend a lot of time in the sun you'll get burnt. And like i said, UV rays dont change in the winter. But, you said you already know that, so i dont understand why youre still going "wtf"

That's because of the reflection of the snow.

golden sunlight, caressing your skin, is a thing of the past.

Great story. Mandela Effect and/or simulation theory neatly explains so many more phenomena than religion imo. i.e. old people getting pissed that their memory is fading when its actually reality changing lol

"This person on the internet said his grandma thought the sun used to be smaller. Must be aliens" thats basically what you just said here. Im into multiverses and everything, but come on dude. How much definitive proof is there to the theory? Not much, so dont put all of your eggs in the crazy basket.

Are you sure you are in the right sub? Please review the rules and let me know if you have any questions.

just having a discussion, thought thats what this thread was for. I didnt know it was a "safe space" and anyone who disagrees with anyone is kicked out.

I didnt know it was a "safe space" and anyone who disagrees with anyone is kicked out.

So far, you've broken the same rule twice already and it seems very likely that you've not read our side-bar description and rules.

I think you've been given enough warnings, "Brotha". Either read our side-bar description and respect the sub rules or see yourself out.

I was really into ME but this sub made me question the validity of it. Refusing to actually discuss things is turning ME from a theory into a religion. If your goal with this sub was to discredit the theory, then good job, you did it

[–]wtf_ima_sliderModerator 2 ポイント3 ポイント  (0子コメント)

Have you read our side-bar description?

I think you're confusing this sub with /r/MandelaEffect.

I didnt know it was a "safe space"

This is the same kind of disdainful condescending remarks that /r/MandelaEffect skeptics are known for - which, if you haven't gotten the hint by now, is something we are trying to move away from.

The above comment is yet another condescending dig at this sub and yet, it STILL doesn't look like you've read our side-bar description and rules.

This is the last time I'm going to direct you to our side-bar. Failure to abide by the sub rules will result in a ban.

Not even going to argue. Please follow the sub rules.

also im just trying to say that ME is just a theory theres some interesting stuff going on. Geography got way fucked up for me, South america moved, but i havent actually studied a map since high school. It could all be chalked up to poor memory. Its dangerous to believe in it wholeheartedly just because someone on reddit said their grandma thinks the sun looks weird. im not saying you should brush all this multiverse stuff under the rug, just saying the rabbit hole goes on forever and sometimes while looking for our own truths, we blind ourselves to the actual truth.

I'm from NE ohio as well and was thinking the same thing, it seemed like this year was a lot warmer than any other as well.
