Oh, you’re really going to take that position? Way more literal members of the Nazi Party tried to take out Hitler and stop the killings in the 6 years of WW2, than anti-abortionists have taken up arms in the 44 years since Roe v. Wade. If abortion is genocide, you guys are actually orders of magnitude more tolerant of genocide than the actual Nazi Party. Calling yourselves ‘pro-life’ in that context is utterly absurd. Like, you’re either insincere about your true beliefs or you’ve completely failed to do anything in the face of what you believe to be the biggest mass murder in human history - if I were you, I’d rather people thought I was just always full of shit at this point.
And it’s a common argument because it’s sound. If abortion is murder then it doesn’t matter at all whether the mother consented, it’s still murder and there’s no reason for it to be allowed. That was the whole thesis of my post - that your rhetoric exposes your true priorities, which is not stopping what you claim is an ongoing campaign of baby murder but punishing people for having sex. Anyone who wants abortion banned because they say it’s murder but accepts leaving open an exemption for rape victims is insincere in calling abortion murder.
