Which CB would you sell? (self.reddevils)

I think it's a given that we need a new strong possibly world class central defender.

If this means selling one of our existing central defenders, who'd you sell? And why?

The options being: Rojo Bailly Jones Smalling

None of them tbh, Rojo has shown how good he truly is this season, and Jones has shown that, if he cuts out those silly mistakes, he can be a top class defender, and footballer in general. Smalling has been poor this season but it would be incredibly dumb just to sell someone for one bad season, especially after how well he's played the last two. If one had to go I'd probably pick him, but hopefully that isn't the case and he'll find his form again.

TBH smalling and jones neither have the ability to be class due to jones recurring injuries and smalling is great at defending but so bad on the ball and passing the ball. Rojo may be rash but at cb he is solid would rather us try get tuanzabe into the team and sign a proven 26 year old plus with experience like howedes or manolas (just examples)

I never said he hasn't but look how much football he has played since we signed him and he might even be out for the rest of the season. You can say you want him as your first choice?

My flair will probably show my bias but the amount of people here willing to get rid of Smalling after one poor season is surprising. He was the most solid CB for the best part of 2 seasons (whether that's due to lvg's tactics is beside the point) and don't forget he missed a lot of the start of the season through injury.

The fact that he's both England and United vice captain must mean that management see something in him as well.

If I had to choose between the above it would be Jones. Too injury prone for me.

Jones and Smalling since they have both been here neither has shown long term consistency with there form on the pitch or there physical robustness to be relied upon almost every season since they have been here they leave us short handed for one reason or another.

Out of all areas on the pitch centre backs should not be chopped and changed and these two have proven they can't be relied upon.

Smalling because he's too antsy with the ball. I'm not a big fan of Rojo either but he's stepped it up the past few weeks.

Bailly was showing top class form in the beginning of the season but hasnt looked the same since AFCON/injury. He's still young with huge potential though. Jones is handy to have around because he's quality when he's fit.

Jose should try to pair Bailly/Jones/Rojo with a ball playing CB that's also great in the air. I would also like to see Tuanzebe given a proper chance. Look at Michael Keane! He's been one of the best CBs in the league for Burnley. Don't know what we got if we don't give our youngsters a chance

None of them. We haven't seen enough of Bailly to see if he's good or bad. Jones and Rojo are having good seasons. Smalling is the poorest currently but he was the best the previous two seasons imo.
