This a short story by Tobias Wolff, one of the worlds great short story writers. When I was doing my MA I took a film studies class on the side for escape, and this story came up. The first time I read it I broke down crying at the end. I don't give two fucks how pussy that sounds. It's true.

It's not obviously RP or MGTOW yet at the same time I get the sense the most guys would get it. More importantly it's good masculine writing. And the end. Every guy has that moment. I posted about my mine earlier. Where a simple apparently meaningless moment becomes the one thing you never forget.

And finally it's simply a fucking masterpiece of writing.
