Was hoping to get a trustworthy/meaningful translation (self.poland)

Hey /r/Poland!

So I am an American but I'm getting a tattoo to symbolize my Polish heritage but I was hoping for a native Polish speaker's input before I finalize anything.

I'm getting a Polish Eagle with the saying "Wielka Polksa" underneath it but I want to make sure that the saying holds meaning. I've also seen it written Wielkapolska (without the space) as well as Wielkopolska (with an 'o' instead of an 'a').

I've done some research on it but a lot of the websites I find are in Polish and Google Translate isn't always reliable and my father hasn't spoken Polish in years so he's a little rusty himself.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

EDIT: Here's an idea of what I was looking to get but the eagle will be slightly different.

'Wielka Polska' means as much as 'The Great Poland'.

Wielkopolska is a region in Poland (Greater Poland).

Wielkapolska is just wrong. Same as I would spell Unitedstates of America.

Also you made a typo and spelled it PolKSa. Please don't make it permanent!

You shouldn't get a tattoo unless you know what that phrase represents. Can't you use just "Polska"?

Wielka Polska would translate to something like Great Poland or The Great Poland, and - someone can correct me on this - I don't think that's actually a thing.

It is a thing, in some places. somewhere next to "międzymorze"

I was just confirming that the translation was correct. But I can see in my post that it did seem like it was just a shot in the dark on my part.
