This is a "serious" sub for honest discussion about Admin and Moderator bias and abuse of power. While we are advocates of free speech, the following rules will be put in place to maintain quality in this subreddit:
Reddit has reached the depressing point where generic subreddit bans are so commonplace that they are barely newsworthy anymore. In the interests of post quality control, we maintain the right to remove posts that are simply about such bans and/or modmail mutings. Please don't post such threads unless it's something absolutely extraordinary.
Please read our rules before posting.

To start from the beginning, my friend attempted to post a news article, this one specifically but it wasn't showing up on their NEW feed. So he went to /r/politics to post it, here is that post, thinking it might be OK there. He was able to post it there, and several other people were posting the same story from different sources, but they were all removed by a mod at /r/politics stating that it wasn't about politics, and belonged on /r/news. Judging by his discussion with the mod, he was upset about it since /r/news wasn't updating their NEW (the most recent post at the time was 4 HOURS ago from when he was trying to post, so it's likely they were at a FREEZE for some time which that timing matched up with the same time that the story he was citing went live.) He went back to /r/news and saw that new posts had been made, and it seemed that it was no longer frozen, and just in a slow-mode, so he took a chance with timing the post and it made it through, seen here with the gaps in times but soon after, he was banned. When he replied asking about the reason for this ban this was the response he was given He found it funny that they claim he re-posted when it was a single post, there weren't any before it.
So in the morning, he contacted me angry and laughing about it, and I decided to see if it was up, and it wasn't, so I contacted a mod at /r/news asking if there was an issue with it since it didn't immediately show up. They responded back with "fixed" and the post showed up. The post went up, discussions happened, and then I decided to try and do more. I messaged the mod that my friend said banned him, and I wanted to ask him some questions. However, this morning I woke up to this response and I'm also banned because they believe I am the same person as my friend
When I had first posted the article to /r/news, I made sure to include the information that the mods at /r/politics said it didn't belong on their subreddit and that it should be on /r/news. Someone even asked about that, and I provided the proof for them as well.
So, here I am today to bring this into the light, hoping that we can put a stop to this blatant abuse of power.
