I can't think of a single transfer window where we've shown serious interest in this much talent and this many high level players. I'm genuinely buzzing to see who we bring in.

Yes. when we won the treble in 99, or the PL and the CL in 2008, or maybe when we won the league 13 times in 21 year period.

I don't agree with this. The football was more exciting but he's talking about specifically summer transfer windows. Yeah it was awesome in the summer of 08 having just won the double and thinking about how we could make that squad even stronger.

But OP is specifically talking about transfer windows and right now we have an opportunity to go from an exciting team that creates lots of chances to the best squad in the league. Because of the context (the manager, how successfully he recognized our needs and recruited, how high our pull power is, and how strong our squad is other than the few spots where we need players) we don't only have an opportunity but an actual probability of such a summer.

That is more exciting to me in terms of a summer window, than bringing in Berbatov to throw into the mix of our already world class attack. Finding our new Ronaldo is a bigger deal than bringing in a player that's just meant to help him a bit.

How hilarious. I actually knew someone would say something stupid like this before I even posted it. I actually made a conscious effort to deliberately word it in the simplest way possible so that even a 3 year old could understand what I meant, but alas, here we are with someone perfectly happy to demonstrate their total lack of reading comprehension skills, mixed in with a touch of undeserved ironic smugness. This is the main reason I wanted Mou. Bar Messi / Ronaldo, there's not a single player we wouldn't be in serious contention to sign. And I'm equally excited to see who Mourinho will sell, because let's be honest, we still have a long way before reaching Real / Barca / Bayern, and Mourinho will get us there.

last season is pretty difficult to top. we were linked with Pogba and Zlatan and Mhki and we signed Mourinho as manager..

can't see us getting another 3 players of the same kind of quality
