Girl, my ex trans girlfriend Caligula Rothschild is one of her former drag daughters. She clocked her years ago for detransitioning to have a better chance to get on the show.... this is her dream. She was willing to do anything in order to get on the show, including changing herself.

Shes a pretty disgusting person. She of course would deny it til the cows came home but even after this message was posted she continued to live as a woman until the next or so audition when she started buying boy clothes again and wearing snapbacks with the cookie monster on them. Its pathetic and sad. Shes not the nice 'be yourself to free yourself' person. Shes a ruthless, calculated self absorbed person. If you arent tipping her or kissing her ass, you are nothing to her. I.e. Caligula was her best friend when she was giving her money to sponsor her pageants but as soon as Caligula began to make a name for herself shne did everything she could to hurt her. And it worked. Caligula no longer performs. In fact... Eureka's Hometown look seemed like something Caligula used to do and get made fun of by eureka..

I'm not sure that Eureka's a terrible person, it's just a terrible situation all around. It sucks that she feels this way. It sucks that she feels this is the way to do it.

That being said I don't want this kind of behaviour put in the spotlight. I don't want younger people seeing that changing yourself or denying your gender identity is what gets you opportunity.

Exactly... its sad. WoW asking her that in the first place after she repeatedly said she was transgender is revolting. And the fact that Eureka suddenly detransitioned following this...is extremely sad. Of course she gives a different reason, who wouldnt...but she should just say thats why. If you really want to 'be yourself to free yourself' do it and make the show address it.

I completely understand Eureka. I'm a trans male and I still look quite feminine and it's very easy to think 'I should just stop trying, I don't care if I'm unhappy being the gender I'm supposed to be, it's just easier' because it can get to that point where you feel like all the effort just isn't worth it and you feel like you're doing yourself 'wrong'

That was spring of 2014 when they were taking in videos for season 7, meaning she auditioned two more times after that before making it on. I wonder if their policy has changed since then. Either way that was pretty shitty thing of them to do.

This is some good T about production though. I always thought it was odd how after S5 had Monica come out and Ru saying trans women could compete there wasn't an openly trans contestant until S9 👀☕

As someone who is trans/genderfluid, I would be really interested in Eureka's response to seemingly living her life as a boy now. I just would like to what's the tea because while I'm sure she is cool to her friends, she is giving me very wishy-washy vibes from all of her social media.

It appears RPDR is forcing trans people into the impossible situation of either putting themselves back into the closet or forgoing a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. What kind of community are we if continue to tolerate this?

This is fucked up on so many levels. Ru and WoW need to answer some questions, and it's time for Michelle to fuck off with her speeches about being an ally if she's only willing to advocate for gay men.

They need to come clean and answer questions about trans contestants point-blank. Not some "as long as you've got charisma uniqueness nerve and talent" bs.

The show has never embraced trans people. Monica was only accepted insofar as she entered the competition as cis, and the producers were more than happy to exploit her identity into a storyline for viewers. It's clear people like Jiggly, Monica, Sonique, etc would never have been cast if they were open with the public about their gender to begin with.

    As I said in another thread Peppermints interview looks are benign and look 'male' to the general public. Also, Peppermint didn't have breast augmentations on the show as far as I can tell? And this is three years later girl...
