Netherlands loses again without Louis van Gaal (self.reddevils)

It bothers me that van Gaal couldn't be successful for us because he's the perfect manager for United, and he proved how good he is with Netherlands because it has been 3 years and they still can't buy a win without him. Plus he's a walking meme.

Thoughts? I kind of miss his long term visions, even if his squad management was poor, and wanted to see him as Director of Football, because we need one.

They aren't though. He gave so many youth debuts and consistent chances to players. I love Jose, but he hasn't given a single youth player a starting match this season. Van Gaal had a long term vision and was building a good side, he just couldn't sort his tactics.

And in light of a time when United needs that long term vision, Van Gaal is gone. Jose Mourinho is a great tactician but I don't know if he'll get any longevity if he's alone.

He gave so many youth debuts because he literally had to, we had so many injuries.

As for longevity, he always said he would retire after his 3 years anyway

He was a good manager but unfortunately his football sucked and that's the most important thing when it boils down to it.
