Since last night and this morning, most of you have seen many written accounts of what happened surrounding the post on /r/xTrill. Having worked a double shift last night and this morn, I'm sorry I wasn't able to address this sooner and include my input in an attempt to clear the air for everyone. All together the facts I know are this: Under no circumstance would I ever use someone else's art as the way of getting attention, but it seems as though /u/23rd_Prodigy has other ideas by teasing a 'hard drive dump', leaking the very content we are discussing for $50, and now trying to call a moderator out on his own sub. Near around 10PM last night all of the current mods here were banned from /r/xTrill under 'porties purge'; this is right before the archive was posted putting them directly involved and at least partially responsible for the entire leak itself.

Half way through December I gained access to the content as a third party, so this notion that exclusive material was obtained directly from Porter's management is completely false and made up. Also, the name of the group was #NOLEAK meaning a mutual agreement to not share the music outside of those inside the group. Seeing as I had no place in the original dropbox hacking, sharing of the files contained, or starting the group in the first place, I sought to respect those who were generous enough to share them with me.

All in all, I'm sorry that it all went down like this because this is someone else's personal art, but find myself wishing I had shared it in the first place and possibly avoided this mess. I am so proud of how our community, both online and off, continues to grow and expand despite the negativity towards it during the past couple years. During this time I've learned that the music is ultimately the most important part and the primary reason why we are all here. Send your love and support to Porter as now everyone gets to enjoy the absolute best moments of his music, that we either distinctly recall or wish to experience in the near future!

Since everyone likes to make up shit, I'm going to dismiss everything that was said against me. I'm not the leaker of the material, there isn't any hard proof so I'm not going to say who exactly me and others feel is the leaker. I haven't received ANY money from leaking, trading, or anything related to unreleased music. It's public knowledge that the hard drive leak is a thing of the past. I'm not Missed / Spitfya, nor do I have any ties to them. (only with Missed in the past)

This makes me wonder where the fuck you get your info from, these false things being said about me are fucking hilarious and I shouldn't even make a response to them, I should respond to your petty argument. Mods being on the server aside, I think it's actually highly fucked up for someone very close with porter to be involved with this sort of shit.

Actually James, tell me who exactly is the one spreading false information? I don't think you're a bad guy, but at the time you certainly loved those songs didn't you? No? You clearly condoned it for being inside of it for so long (until the end). If we're going to continue throwing personal attacks, I bet you where their sock puppet while you where involved with it, weren't you? No wonder they would invite the worlds most corrupt admin into their circlejerk of a server.

Dismissing the fact that these didn't come from someone close to Porter is also obviously a cover up, where exactly did the original files come from? I'm sure whoever originally got these files from porter is flipping their shit as we speak. sigh This shit is really getting old, and It's only been a day and a half, and trying to delegitimize my argument by faking information isn't really productive either. ( I bet you got that shit info from Missed didn't you? Don't you fucking idiots ever learn after the first 9000 times? )

You, the admin of the Porter Robinson sub, explicitly had personal gain from being affiliated with an unreleased server, you're so against leaks on the Discord but I guess since nobody else can have it, it's just fine! YOU had the power to see that it was wrong in the first place, YOU had the ability to bring the issue to light.

To everyone who has the full story, just know that the cunt is in the process of being fired. As for that, take a fucking Xanax and chill the fuck out, the issue is being resolved behind public eye for obvious reasons.

Agreed. People treat porter like a god. Don't get me wrong, he is a great artist but he isn't the second coming of Christ. At the end of the day one leak isn't going to make him quit music. Sure he might be upset but I think he can handle the situation just fine.

Oh I don't really care about whether or not it leaked. Personally I really enjoy seeing the different stages a song went through. But yeah, I agree this has been blown out of proportion... Kinda seems like its just a way for the mods and whoever else is involved to start beef.

/u/23rd_Prodigy's statement, so we have both sides of the story in one place:

"I created an alternate account and sent shit to Cubox, VDG, and others. I then get added to a plate group that has Red, Kyllian, Shiraz, Jamesnator, Cubox, 4AM, GhostFM, VDG, can't remember the rest. The plate group had soon had a-lot of shit on it that I had sent to them from the alt, so I realized that everyone was snakes & untrustworthy form the get-go. Time goes on and while it does I keep sending them shit I had PyNate make, most of it was decent but a good portion of it was so fake they should've been able to spot it from the first time they heard it (some of the boosts & edits). I can't explain the management side because it involves personal shit with porter himself, but his close team where in on the idea of a plate group, as well as some of the moderators of the porter sub. They favored those who contributed to the group and everyone knew if they made Cubox mad then they would be banned from the plate server."

EDIT: In my opinion abusing mod privilege to take part in a group that stole Porter's property and leak it after adding shitty revisions then calling it a "remake" as if they put some hard work into it just completely undermines my faith in the mod team here. Even if leaking the material wasn't the right way to go, people claiming they rebuilt worlds and other tracks should've been exposed day one. Obviously we're all happy to hear the actual files now, but I feel bad for Porter and this sub.

Honestly - I'm not a part of this sub, and not really a big Porter fan. But I really do enjoy The Wildcat and that Hello collab that Porter did with Lazy Rich years ago. Worlds is nice too but not really my cup of tea (some of the instrumental leaks are brilliant though and a welcome addition to my library).

My comment regarding the written statement was more or less because statements are not supposed to consist of passive-aggressive finger pointing. The reality is there shouldn't need to be a statement.

People are acting like these are the only files that have ever leaked from an artist. Where was all the uproar when a whole bunch of Feed Me's demos leaked a few weeks ago?

I feel like Porter has a very defensive fanbase who take it upon themselves to police the community and try to uphold Porters own respect for this work. This is fine, but when it results in stuff like this happening, it means it's just gone way too far.
