Where to sell engagement ring? (self.Divorce)

Has anyone else sold their engagement ring? I have a nice marquise diamond solitare that my ex spent about $5500 on. I went to one of those we buy gold places and they offered me $1000. I don't expect to get retail but 1/5th seems really crappy to me. I have it listed on idonowidon't.com but it hasn't sold.

Look for a local "buy/sell/trade" Facebook group in your area. I sold mine easily using one.

If there is a diamond district in your city, that is the best way. I sold a former fiance's diamond in order to purchase the diamond my wife now wears.

Jewellers generally purchase their stones on an as needed basis. You will likely get current carat weight price plus minus clarity.

I have had similar experiences. I haven't sold it yet for that reason.
