Daishawn Redan close to signing for Manchester United (self.reddevils)

Ajax has just announced here that Daishawn Redan will leave Ajax at the end of the season.

Redan has been heavily linked with United and the reliable Simon Jones said here that we are close to signing him.

It seems that this may be happening now but City, Leipzig and Chelsea are also interested.

For people who would like to know more about him, here is an article I wrote about him a year ago.

Redan also said in an interview that United is 'a huge and beautiful club and I would like an adventure there'.

He made a u-turn, eh? Didn't he say in an interview a couple of weeks ago he was going to sign a new contract with Ajax? Koen, in which tier would you rank him relative to other young Dutch prospects?

Yeah he did, Chong did the same though.

He's probably the best striker in the country, same tier as Chong was last year. He was 15/16 and already playing UEFA Youth League games with the U19s.
