About this project
Risks and challenges
As with any project, there are risks and challenges to overcome.
Budget and Project Management: The Dating Game is an ambitious project, and we’ll be working to some pretty tight deadlines and budgets. We’re anticipating twists and turns that could put the pressure on! Thankfully, we have a wealth of experience working with much bigger budgets and managing large scale projects and quick turnarounds. We’ve worked with organisations such as London Games Festival, Somerset House, Soho Theatre, the Vaults, Wellcome Collection, and have had close mentoring relationships with Arts Council England, Deutshce Bank and Bossa Studios. We’ll draw on our skills and knowledge from these experiences to keep ourselves on track.
Community Expectations: As with every Kickstarter project, we recognise that the backers are the heart and soul of the project. As Game Designers we have an idea of how we want The Dating Game to look, feel and play like, but we want to make sure that we take into consideration our backers concerns, ideas and passion. That’s why, as The Dating Game is developed, we’ll be consulting the community regularly. We’ll even be holding playtesting sessions which you can get to be part of as a reward. These will make sure that we consult our backers with game design issues and will allow your feedback to help make the final decisions within the development team.
Performer Safety: We understand the need for our actors to feel safe and comfortable at all times. For this reason we’ll be taking out a full insurance policy to cover every iteration of the game. On top of this, we’ll be designing The Dating Game in such a way that Players can have all the fun they want, but without ever making unreasonable requests or demands of our performers.
