ChinaFuturism showcases the best futuristic media featuring Chinese settings or culture, including cultures that have branched out from it (I probably should have used a more general name, but it's too late to change now!).
Posts submitted here can be artistic or informative, realistic or fantastical, gritty or cheerful, image, video, or whatever medium you find. Any submissions are much appreciated - please contribute! :)
China Futurism uses the term Chinese in the loosest sense, meaning that it avoids the politics of referring to something as Chinese or not unless it is a central theme in the art itself.
Rules:
If your submission is art, image or video, you must:
- link directly to the image, and not the page it is embedded within.
- include the real name of the artist (not their psuedonym) and the original title of the work in the submission title.
- include a translation or romanisation of any Chinese title (but not necessarily author) in brackets after the original title (example).
- comment with a link to the piece's embedded page, to allow our readers to easily browse other works by that artist.
- add a "視頻 - VIDEO" or "照片 - PHOTO" flair, if applicable.
- not rehost images.
If your submission is not artwork (e.g.: an article, book, or meta post) you must:
- add a clear and concise title.
- link directly to the article, or expand on your point in the body.
- add either a "談論 - DISCUSSION", "文章 - ARTICLE", "書 - BOOK", or "META" flair.
