People need to know that Reddit has a HUGE network of very INFLUENTIAL Russian Trolls. Their tactics are widespread, nefarious, and nearly invisible. Much has been reported on Russia's 4-storey Troll Factory, it would be willfully ignorant to assume that they wouldn't direct that Troll army towards a platform so widely seen as Reddit. Please see these expose on the Russian Troll Factory:

Russian Troll Tactics Used on Reddit:
1) They like to call you Shill/ShareBlue/CTR/David Brock/xx-day-old-account instead of actually addressing any of the arguments you made. I always thought this was just Trump Supporters in general, and it made me think they were illogical than they actually are. I now see that in some instances, I probably was fooled by their propaganda as well now. They made me more divided against my political opposites than I should have been. Seems like an issue for a country that needs to unite to kick out a Putin President no?
2) They like to hide behind non-sensical arguments. And they know it. That's why they are trolls. Especially they like to use the "it's just circumstantial evidence" argument when offered with direct evidence.
3) They love Straw Man arguments. And they knew when they are using them.
4) If they really want to shut down your message on a sub. Many of them will come at you in bunches instanteneously. Keep in mind they work in the same rooms. They have multiple accounts if not hundreds they can log into to further hide themselves.
5) They like to support their propaganda posts with links to legit news articles that they say support the claim they are making. They expect you not to click the article and read that it doesnt actually support their claims at all. They are really tricky with this tactic.
6) Ignore proof, say it's all just speculation and Fake News, no matter how credible the source.
7) Call your sanity into question when you simply speak common sense (gaslight trolling).
8) Say that nobody believes you, even when there are a metric fuckton of comments agreeing with you (consensus manufacturing)
9) Demand proof for things that they know you can't conclusively prove, but ignore the mountain of evidence that it's true.
This where they operate on Reddit:
1) nono-sub influence is obvious. The demographics don't support the widespread support that sub gets. See this post:
https://np.reddit.com/r/EnoughTrumpSpam/comments/4v2ocl/russias_troll_village_is_massively_gaming_reddit/
2) They are all over r/conspiracy pushing an anti CIA, pro-Russian-Wikileaks Agenda. They brigade any mentions that Wikileaks might be compromised. They brigade against any viable theories on KremlinGate, the most evidenced conspiracy theory around. They essentially have the power to CENSOR and shutdown any argument that goes against the propaganda they want to spread. MANY users of r/conspiracy have complained that it's been invaded by "Trump Supporters." This is just the Kremlin Troll Factory at work for the most part.
3) They influence (maybe even control) r/shills to control any discussion of Russian Shills and direct it towards fake enemies such as CTR, ShareBlue, David Brock etc etc. You have probably experienced a "Trump Supporter" call you this before. r/shills also exists to attack people and censor people that goes against their narrative. If you talk to anyone who's been falsely accused of being CTR or Shareblue over there you will see this.
4) They possibly also control alot of LIBERAL subreddits. This is probably a ploy to split the liberal base to CENSOR them from being able to reach the top of r/all and competing against their own propaganda. Much has been investigated by true liberal subreddits like r/enoughtrumpspam on this subject.
5) They influence subreddits like r/media_criticism to make people distrust MSM media while DEFLECTING any notions or topics about Russia's State-Run Media like Sputnik and RT.
6) I'm certain their influence exists in other places I've not noted. There were people talking about suspiscious pro-kremlin narratives on r/worldnews as well and various other European subreddits.
If anyone has suspicions for other places they may be operating. Please comment.
What we can do about it:
Start CALLING them out on it. If you see tell tale signs that Russian Troll Tactics are being used, CALL them out on it. Do not be afraid of their eventual attacks and censor. Do not let them use their tactics to censor you. The more people that call them out on it, the more the message will spread that yes, they do exist, and they are EVERYWHERE.
Bring attention to it for Reddit Admins to look at. I've asked them the question here. Let's see if we can get them to actually respond: https://np.reddit.com/r/AskAnAdmin/comments/5z491d/why_are_russian_trolls_allowed_to_infest_reddit/
This is how they made a LARGE base of people beleive in "CTR/ShareBlue" shills as a real thing whereas people know that its just genuine political concerns.
Please reply if you have any suggestions for what else we can do, and any more examples of suspicious Russian Troll-like behavior. We need to shine a light on this subject so that their propaganda can't divide the country. And brainwash Americans into hating their own government.
