Stunning player with great potential; we don't need him.

Care to elaborate why? I'm genuinely curious on your viewpoint.

Rashford and Martial represent our young, inexperienced players with lots of potential. Although we need a striker long-term, we either need an experienced world-class striker, or someone with physicality. Hypothetically, it'd be a dream to sign him. However, we don't need a striker with potential right now, we need a top striker.

Also, he'd cost upward of 60-70m.

It's hard to say. 18 year olds are unpredictable. Look at Renato Sanches, I'm Portuguese and I love the guy, but his season at Bayern has been shit. I'd rather he stayed at Benfica for longer and I hope Mbappe stays at Monaco for longer. But he'll probably end up moving and it's impossible to know if he'll keep up his form.

I don't disagree with him staying and developing, it would likely be what's best for him. However, we seem to be okay with giving young talent the matches they need to develop, so it would be a better move for Mbappe to come to us rather than City.

Seems a waste. If we are to buy a striker, they should be at least as good as Ibra.

No point signing another prospect forward when we already have Rashford and Martial. Our big needs lie in other positions.

That's a tough ask to buy a striker as good as Ibra. Even at his age, he's still one of the most clinical finishers in the world.
