Embarrassing Match Thread comments... (self.reddevils)

I love watching United play while reading the comments of fellow Redditors on the Match Thread, and I am sure most of you do too. I am just frustrated with the level of vitriol being posted in each thread, calling for officials to "die", calling our own players "cunts" etc. I understand that the Match Day thread is a place for knee-jerk reaction, and that "fans" who make these idiotic, infantile comments are the minority on r/reddevils, but I feel that our right to criticize the players and the manager should never extend to personal attacks like some of the examples below. These players are also human beings. Please downvote these sort of comments as much as possible, and mods: please ban users who call for officials to die... This is not right. Here are some examples just from the last couple of Match Threads:

Stand by what i said, we have played some poor football since the Watford game, understandable with the fixture pileup. That is my opinion and if you wanted to call it out you should have done it at the time with your own opinion, that's how discussion happens.

This is pretty sad to compile from the off, with match threads being a melting pot of hyperbole 99% of the time but if you want to do it, at least do it right op. "The United players look like they are playing for their Middlesborough futures." a funny throwaway comment does not belong on the same list as "Send this Pogba donkey back!" or "OMG. People need stop FUCKING DEFENDING POGBA FOR HIS ACTIONS. FUCKING LAZY CUNT DO SOMETHING AND BLOCK THE SHOT!" .

People get caught up in the moment myself included it makes for good reading after and it's no different to any other subreddit.

Addressing my own comment I do not rate Smalling at all and I think he is doing deserving of criticism although put more eloquently than that, I've thought it since the start of the season really. However the comment was just my frustration boiling over at the time. I also don't believe saying a player is shit is a personal attack, I have no issues with Smalling as a person and I'm sure he's a great guy but as a footballer I'm not a fan

Some of the above comments are awful and should result in bans, but some comments are fine.

"Smalling sucks" for example, what's wrong with that? You might not agree, but it's pure censorship if you stop someone giving a valid opinion.

I do not call for censorship for all of the above examples. Not at all. You should be able to give an opinion, or to be critical of a player. I am just against using personal, derogatory attacks against our own players. They deserve a minimum level of respect in my opinion.
