Young as LB? (self.reddevils)

How many of you think that Young can reinvent or already shown potential that he can be our LB atleast until Mourinho has enough confidence in Shaw? His performance yesterday was great and he provided a great whipping cross that resulted in a goal. He's naturally an attacker, so it'd be great while he moves forward partnering with Martial/Rashford. Thoughts?

He can play LWB with 3 at the back. If we play 4, I would rather have Blind.

I quite like the attacking set up we had with Young and Valencia bombing up the wings but unless we had a dedicated holding midfielder we couldn't do it with 2 centre backs

We were playing one of the lowest scoring PL teams of all time.

Young is never a full back vs decent sides. Go watch him vs Arsenal in the 3-0 loss last season to see what Young at left back vs decent sides looks like.

the whole defence and midfield was bad that game, especially the midfield was set up wrong, I remember watching the MNF analysis for it

A huge part of the problem in that game was Young (as well as Schweinsteiger/Darmian) getting absolutely rinsed all game long.

Ashley Young is not a full back.

Our best two full backs are the wingers! Young and Valencia!
