Even in Canada, the land of Canuck cucks, alimony payments are limited to either the length of the relationship, or twice the length of the relationship (I can't remember which). It's not ideal but it's certainly better than an indefinite pay out. If I'm wrong about that, someone please correct me. Please.

Make no mistake, this kind of thinking is based squarely in religious thinking, where, even in divorce, you are still responsible for your wife. Separation of church and state my ass.

Australia is the same with superannuation.It gets split in all states except Western Australia ,yet it has to be out on the table whenb financial mediation is happening and is classed as future earnings for the person who owns it.Thank Odin I was in WA with my ex for 22 years.She gets none of my hard earned super
