A complaint often made against referees is that some like to be the centre of attention. This certainly wouldn't help. They are under enough pressure as it is, this would add so much more.

They face enough pressure without quizzing them live. They aren't paid enough to deal with all that shit imo.

Refs are in a shit position because of the FAs stance that they are ultimately infallible.
Irregardless of the decision, often made at high speed on one take, they are right in the FAs eyes.
Them being interviewed after a game where reporters can lash into them will lead to a ref admitting they might have made a mistake, which goes against what the FA wants.
